Yes, this generation
No, I'd prefer them in Gen 6
No, wait till Gen 7
No, i dont want r/s/e remakes
3DS FC: 1203-9389-8130
I have updated my list of
demandsthings I would like to see:
-A combination of the battle frontiers from Hoenn and Sinoh
-Double battle with Steven and Wallace
-Different teams for the gym leaders, E4 and champion
-Have the whole Team Aqua and Team Magma plot changed a little
-Double battle with Archie and Maxie
-Being able to travel to some other region
Rather than have a remake, I would rather have Hoenn used as a GSC Kanto style second region in a new game. Hoenn is really the kind of place I would expect to change after however many years into the future gen 5 is (3+?). It even leads itself to some slight changes, like random areas being flooded (like say, Meteor Falls) or dried up thanks to the Weather Trio crisis's long term effects, New Mauville being more than a dungeon with lots of electric Pokemon, May (and/or Brendan) as champion.
IMO, it would make great use of what made Hoenn good (landscape variety, unique pokes) and possibly avoid its flaws (the linearity, possibly the end-game), plus the ability to return to an old region is something I've wanted in a new game from GSC on.
If they choose either path, I think the Koshikijima Islands and Fukue Island will be the home of new locations. It always buged me that they were on Hoenn's world map, but unreachable.

Yes, I did give this a lot of thought before even seeing this thread.
This would actually make an interesting Fanfic...
I think they should put an extra person or team in there that helps you with team aqua/magma. After you beat the pokemon league, you discover that they were just trying to get Kyogre/Groudon for themselves, but they can't get them anymore. Then they go for Rayquaza and you have to stop them. After you stop them, you can go up sky pillar (witch is easier to get up) and battle Rayquaza. How's that for a post-game? Of course the battle rontier would be there too.
I don't always resist, but when I do, it's with The Resistance. Stay resistant, my friends.

Say I chose Torchic and she took Mudkip.
I would get to see:
Torchic, Combusken, Blaziken, Mudkip and Marshtomp.
They should really fix that.
I extend my hand to the marvelous authors of this forum. I have read your works and I know that your imagination knows no bounds. Can you help me create a region? I will dedicate the series of fics I intend to use this region for to the gracious people who choose to help me on this audacious task.
So Im asking you once again Bulbagarden - can you help me?
Hey people-who-mention-how-cinnabar-island-changed-in-three-years... I think a volcano really did erupt at its real life counterpart some time after Red/Green were released...
Vito Winstrate became a rival for you after doing the Winstrate challenge (now mandatory to pass through that route), after learning you beat his family, and he'd have the second stage of the last starter you didn't choose. You'd meet the first stage in an earlier battle against someone else.
Actually, considering how much of a not rival the opposite gender character is, and only battles you for fun or to test you as a newbie trainer, I think that they should get the starter weak to you while Vito gets the starter stronger against you. Wally on the other hand more obviously takes the role of a trainer inspired by you and becomes a challenge at the beginning of Victory Road, just like Emerald.
I think Vito may actually be able to be worked in earlier if he battles you at Rustboro in a battle much like the early battles with your rival in RGB where you can lose to them, but then disappear until after Mauville city.
I don't know, when I got to that house, they made such a big deal about it that I honestly was disappointed that Vito was just a random trainer. Besides this is a new way for a Rival to be handled.
I'd LOVE more focus on the Abandoned Ship. It's such an interesting location, yet in the end its really only purpose is... to get the Scanner, which can only be exchanged for the Deep Sea Tooth/Scale to evolve your Clamperl. The story of the S.S. Cactus could've really been somehow tied into the main story a bit more.
Since there were no slots in European Platinum, replaced with Voltorb Flip in non-Japanese HGSS, and don't exist at all in BW... I guess it's safe to say we can say bye-bye to the slots and roulette from the Mauville Game Corner. As its replacement, although I really doubt it'd happen, I'd like to see Battle Bingo from XD return. Just remove the very little 500 Pokedollar fee to pay to remove gambling, update it to 5th gen standards, and there you go. I just loved Battle Bingo, it took a standard game most kids were familiar with and gave it a Pokemon style of play. What wasn't to love? (I know I can't speak for Japan's populace on the popularity of Bingo, but it must've had at least SOME popularity worth mentioning if it was in XD in the first place.) In addition to the type-based cards, now that we have the split, maybe have some advanced physical/special based cards?
I'm REALLY doubting this, but it'd be nice to have Battle CDs from XD return as well, since Hoenn had two things, slots and roulette. (I know GSC had both cards and slots, but HGSS only had Voltorb Flip, which is one of the reasons why I really doubt this.) Since I can't really see these given out all over Hoenn, I guess they'd have to be forced to only being bought at the Game Corner or at certain places, like Lilycove's sale, which I wouldn't really mind. They taught battle strategies and elaborated on how some of the more complicated moves worked, so it could help getting the younger players to try experimenting with moves more instead of spamming the same attack or two that does a lot of damage. Even if you did know all of the strategies presented in the CDs, there were a lot of fun random ones, too. All Metronome CD, anyone?
Also, I doubt this hasn't already been said, a lower wild encounter rate while surfing. Please.
Anyways, my ideas...
• Like in HGSS, add all the Pokemon that received evolutions in Gen IV BUT INCLUDE THE STONES PRE-E4. It was stupid to have to trade a shiny stone to HG last month to get a Togekiss Pre-E4...
• The Battle Frontier - Keep it the same as it was in Emerald, Sudowoodo included along with Artisan Cave. Actually just expand that area to include new routes to the west of the Battle Frontier...from a previous idea in this thread (where Pacifidlog Town was destroyed from the currents tweaking out), have the people living in the now-destroyed Pacifidlog town move to a new town in that stretch of land. Add a frontier front....man they really need to do this. So much land on the Southwest portion of Hoenn unused...seriously...
• Event for a new item...Astronaut suit...or something that would work so you could use the Mossdeep Space Center to blast off to the moon and catch Deoxys.
• Gym Leaders for the Update:
◘ Roxanne - Still the Gym Leader, but since it's been 5 or so years, she has become the teacher at the Rustboro school. You have to do an event prior because she'll be in the middle of a class when you arrive, but I'm just thinking of this stuff of the top of my head so I don't have an idea for that event...
◘ Brawly - Still the Gym leader.
◘ Wattson - Retired...perhaps he had a son/daughter in a different region that could take over for him?
◘ Flannery - Better experienced and she actually knows what to say this time!
◘ Norman - Perhaps he's still the Gym Leader...perhaps he's not and Brendan is the Gym Leader. Just a thought...
◘ Winona - Probably still the Gym Leader.
◘ Liza & Tate - Two options. The first one is they are both still the Gym Leaders...the second one is one of the two twins leaves to replace Phoebe (idea used from a previous post)
◘ Juan - Still the Gym Leader
• Elite Four
◘ Sidney - Still in the E4
◘ Phoebe - As stated in a different post, she went to take the place of her grandparents on Mt. Pyre and one of the twins (Liza or Tate) takes over and uses Psychic and Ghost types.
◘ Glacia - Still in the E4
◘ Drake - Retires...don't know who could replace him though...perhaps a younger relative? They did do that with Koga...
◘ Steven/Wallace - Neither of them are the Champion...perhaps Wally is the Champion?

I would like to see a Ruby/Sapphire remake, it be cool in new graphics.
Here is a few of my ideas:
1. Soul Dew is now In-game item (available to get).
2. Add 4th and 5th generation Pokemon in it.
3. Include new legendaries, possibly from other region.
4. Have Rival evolve all his Pokemon to the max.
5. Have Southern Island in the game (non event).
6. Go to Mirage island easier
7. Have Professor Oak and Cynthia appear in game.
Nobody seemed to have mentioned this, but I want to be able to go to Mirage Island, as I have never found it once in the whole time that I owned Sapphire.
I have dodged many things, but that is not why I am a dodger. I just like wearing striped shirts.
