Kyurem? Well, Kyurem already appeared in the anime-like trailer
I didn't say Kyurem.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
No, it's probably an original "character". Mysterious Dungeon 2 had Primal Dialga, and Rumble Blast had Dark Rust, neither of which ever became Pokemon.
Also, um, so, some of the things I'm reading about this game seem...disappointing. Apparently there's only 144 Pokemon included. :/

Really? Is there a source?
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
Anyone here disappointed by the low amount of pokemon that are in this game?

What is it 300? 250? 200?
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
Actually about 140 they're either the starters and there evolutions and pokemon lines that already have roles in the game.

144 in total, according to 2ch.
And there's barely any non-gen V Pokemon.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
I think we can safely say that Chunsoft were being lazy with this game.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
With 144 Pokemon out of 649 total, that's only 22% of Pokemon being represented in this Mystery Dungeon game. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red/Blue Rescue Team featured 386 Pokemon, which is 100% of the Gen III Pokedex. And in the Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky games, there were 491 out of 493 Pokemon featured, which is about 99%.
I'm a bit shocked at the sudden drop in featured Pokemon. What are they thinking? Maybe I don't need a 3DS yet...

They added Shaymin in Sky, and at least Arceus was referenced. All the Formes could be unlocked, too.
Despite Kyurem's role in the story, I don't think that even Black and White Kyurem are in this game, since none of the five legendaries can be recruited.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
Well, at least something is Shiny in the game. You'd think that after WiiWare, it'd be in the game.
Someone should add this to 3D Pro.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
It doesn't seem like Chunsoft were lazy, exactly, but just that they had different priorities...from what I've read, there's a lot of little new "Farm Sim" stuff included which unfortunately seemed to be focused on over the Mysterious Dungeoning.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
My suspicions for the low number may have something to do with the 3DS' cartidge limits. Sprites take only less space, but 3D models only take more than it can chew.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
Waiting for confirmation on the 144 thing. A rumor on 2ch is a rumor on 2ch until established as fact.
Although looking at the list... at least I have Whimsicott, either way.
Meanwhile, remember that Chunsoft merged with Spike between these two generations. Everyone load your fingers for pointing at executive mismanagement! *ducks*
