Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
Uh it's definitely Axew, no question about it.

How could you not? Compare using this: http://www.serebii.net/dungeonsky/headshot/390.png but facing to the right. If you still can't put two and two together then I guess it just me.

I rest my case.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
I'll just leave it to everyone's assumption until further information is released but I doubt these are the only Pokemon to choose from. But who knows this game is still being worked on.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
Was anybody else actually expecting this? I wasn't really thinking they would go in this direction.

I highly doubt that Chunsoft care about the metagame or the recent movie (which won't be in theaters by the time the game is out). They're entitled to be biased in favor of certain Pokémon; Virizion and Keldeo are much more endearing than Cobalion and Terrakion are. It also seems that Espeon and Umbreon will be the only Eeveelutions with notable roles.
What? It's just a theory...you can't blame me for trying. =|
Doesn't it make sense from a certain point of view?

The metagame part doesn't make sense because Virizion and Keldeo are used more often than Cobalion, but less often than Terrakion. Chunsoft have no reason to care about that either way. As for the movie, Virizion didn't have a bigger role in it than Cobalion and Terrakion did.

Ok, I guess that makes sense, but when I mentioned the movie I was talking about Keldeo specifically. They've also got Kyurem as a sort-of tie-in to the Black 2 & White 2 games.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
At any rate, I assume that Cobalion and Terrakion will still appear in the game, but as part of another team. We don't know anything yet about the story (or if there even is much of one), but it is possible that Cobalion and Terrakion will be against the player, who was once a human. Virizion and Keldeo may be more understanding, knowing that even as a human the player was an ally.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
I think it's kind of weird how Chunsoft (or should I say Spike Chunsoft now) doesn't have anything on this game on their own website. They used to host the homepage (or at least their own homepage) for Pokemon Dungeon when it came out, too. Not that it matters, since it's made by them anyway... I just find it weird.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
Serebii has new information from CoroCoro.
I'm glad that Lugia and Ho-Oh are major characters (alongside Kyurem) in this game. It's about time Chunsoft used them well, albeit at the expense of Reshiram and Zekrom. I wonder if the player will be chosen by Lugia and Ho-Oh to restore peace between Pokémon and humans, with Kyurem being the villain. We know nothing about the story at this point.
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
Cool, customizable town. What in the world does it mean by "higher ranked pokemon" though? Sounds like they've made combo attacks, but I'm not sure. (well, MD always had combos, but I mean combining the attacks of separate pokes instead of just the moveset of one poke)
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
All the information just went up on the website...and a new minigame has been introduced. I didn't get that far, though.

Can someone translate this? I'd really like to know what's going on here! This'll explain a lot for the character selection...
Re: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth
This is coming from my extremely limited kanji, but the general gist is that those 5 Pokemon are the hero and partner you can have. :| Only those 5, and it advises you to pay attention to their scarves/badges.
Below that talks about your friend, Emonga and Nokocchi, and I guess Virizion is your friend too.
Below that is talking about Pokemon Paradise and it's residents. I guess it's your home town where you buy supplies, get missions, etc.
Below THAT is possibly our villain, Sazandora and Kyurem. I think Sazandora's speed is noted, and Kyurem's purpose against the heroes is a mystery, and I have no idea what Keldeo is up to.
Like I said, I could be way off. 8D; If someone has a better translation, feel free to shoot.
