One game or two?
So, do you prefer to save money and get just one version, or do you get both?
The only time I've gotten both was with B/W, and that was because of a mistake we made. Still, it was a profitable mistake, since I got both. But I don't mind having only 1 normally.
Over to you.

Re: One game or two?
Been getting both since 2000

Re: One game or two?
I always get just the one! Generally me and my other friends that play Pokemon we all chose what ones we get.
I owned Emerald and Saphire at one point, though. I gave Saphire away a few years ago and just kept Emerald.

Re: One game or two?
I got both bw2. Tbh the 2nd playthrough was a chore. I will most likely get one of X or Y since I only have one 3DS limiting my ability to self trade anyway.

Re: One game or two?
I always get both, it's just been a habit since I never really had anyone to trade Pokemon with, so I ended up trading for myself, even now with wi-fi available. I find it convenient for a few reasons, one being that I can trade with myself and exchange fodder to get all the starters on a game, get more than one of each event Pokemon( sometimes I will restart one game repeatedly to re download an event for more) and have an extra game to restart if I want to play through again since I often keep my important stuff on one game. I feel its worth the money overall to buy both.

Re: One game or two?
I'll usually get only one of the original 2 games released (I'll get Gold, Sapphire, Pearl, etc.), because my brother would always get the other one (strangely we have never wanted the same game.) But I'll usually get the remake too (Emerald, Platinum, Yellow, etc.)

Re: One game or two?
I could only afford Black when they came out, but I bought both B2 and W2 and I'll be getting both X and Y :D

Re: One game or two?
I always get both because of the exclusivity of Pokemon in each one. Only having one version for me is like apple pie without custard.

Re: One game or two?
I get both eventually then the remake so all three but when i have the money i currently only have Black and Black 2 but my brother has White

Re: One game or two?
I only buy one version. The only time I've had both versions was when I was given Sapphire as a birthday present when I already had Ruby.

Re: One game or two?
Ever since RSE, it's always been both. It's not for trading purposes actually, it's more because of collection purposes. Since the legendaries of a Gen are usually my favorites, it falls in just naturally.
Exception include HGSS, where I just got SS.

Re: One game or two?
I have a brother who loves pokemon too so I've never needed to buy both.

Re: One game or two?
I get every version, as soon as I can afford it. Allows me to trade with myself (which is useful when you just want an item or something), and it allows me to do multiple playthroughs & keep the old team.

Re: One game or two?
I get whichever I prefer. The only time I bought both myself was when HG/SS came out.
