    ^ Seconded. Hard.

I have to wonder why they did all-caps in the first place.

I sometimes wonder why, too. Oh well, things look a lot smoother now. It's just those little things that drive me crazy.

Maybe it was easier to read this way ? I mean, in a small GameBoy screen, caps may look clearer, at least for me.

And the Fandom Rejoiced indeed. Other such things are listed at the Pokemon section, I don't know how to get the link to automatically scroll down to that bit.

But anyhow, actually on topic, I don't mind it either way. I give my Pokemon nicknames with lower-case anyway.

I think the change makes things flow better. It sure is going to take some of the edge out of all those battle-format memes and jokes, though...
    Oh?

I hate the change! When I was really little and slightly anal, I used to always nickname my Pokémon so that their name was in lower case... But now I love caps Pokémon! All my nicknamed Pokémon are in caps, and will look stupid now...

I don't care 'bout this stuff, never understood why people would get so upset about if the names were all CAPS or not.

I never nickname my Pokemon, so I don't have that problem.

Me, personally, I'm fine with the change. Provided my Pokeshifted Pokemon will have their names changed accordingly, of course. Common sense dictates that they should, but then again, since when is common sense common anymore?

And I know there were those Zoroark event screenshots showing the shiny Raikou with a properly cap'd name, but I have a nagging fear that it might only be done with Transfer Machine'd Pokes and not the Pokeshifter. A stupid thing to fear, yes, but I just can't shake it.

    With a mustache.

I think that this thread should be retitled to "Praise the lord, no more caps-locked names!" As you can see, I'm fine with the change.

At least, the Japanese games don't change the all caps...

Eh...I don't know. In a way, I'm kind of sad to see the old convention go. I kind of liked seeing "Name/NAME" show up in the Hall Of Fame. Not saying that I hate the switch or anything, but it's gonna take some getting used to after over 15 years of having it done a certain way.

I never really liked the whole caps thing. In gen III I never nicknamed my pokemon in caps. plus, "a wild Zigzagoon appeared!" just sounds smoother than "a wild ZIGZAGOON appeared!"

I did the same. For instance, I would give my Abra the nickname "Alakazam" in preparation. I don't bother anymore, but I'm still happy with the change.
