Somersault will see quite a bit of use in competitive, I think X)
Summersault is officially the coolest new move! (exaggerating but...) Its like baton pass, letting you choose who to switch to, but it attacks first!
Plus its a bug type so you can use it against grass, psychics, and darks.
Its perfect if you want to make a team of Ninja pokemon. (There are other really good new attacks too though... I just had to say that one)
Fire and Ice get shunned again... And Flareon loses Shadow Ball, At least it can still protect itself with Iron Tail.
~My GPX Plus~~
I shall make a Pokemon Olympic Summersaulting Team now!
Unfortunately, without a priority modifier, Somersault requires either good speed or some prediction to use effectively X)
I'll just use it OVER AND OVER to annoy my opponent to death.
I'd expect that would be when it would use Pulse Bomb.
One big change I noticed is that Dive has gone from a common move to a limited one, and had its power upped to 80. It's no longer a TM or HM, and the "no import with a HM" rule means it can't be brought in from 3rd generations. In DP only Seel, Dewgong, Wailmer, Wailord, Huntail, Gorebyss, Relicanth, Fione and Manaphy can learn it; no-one has it as an egg move. (according to the Serebii attackdex, anyway). This puts an end to Ludicolo using it to extend Leech Seed and Rain Dish, or to the Surf/Dive contest combo for many water types.
