Okay guys, this thread isn't a Pokemon ethics debate... as you can see, there's already one of those (and a poll thread floating around somewhere, as well). This thread is just meant to be a helpful resource for people who want to verify the status of Pokemon they've acquired through trades. Let's try to keep it on topic.

Do the Japanese events, specifically the Saikyou Dragonite and Birthday Chimchar, have secret ID numbers? Thanks in advance.

From what I have checked, GBA or 3rd gen events lack an SID, but thanks. Just needed to know yes/no for those. :D

'0' is still a value... the SID field existed in Gen III, so they needed to have something in there. But yeah, most (if not all) Gen III events used 0 as the SID. Gen IV events typically have non-zero values.

There number or their original trainer (OT) name. If it's their number you have a serious problem. If it's their trainers name they are likely from a Korean game. For some reason Nintendo didn't feel like putting Korean characters into any of their other language games.
Is there anything worse than being all alone in the night?

Yes... being all alone in a crowd.

And it doesn't matter if they would have decided to include the Korean font because Korean DPtHGSS carts can't connect to non-Korean versions (even via Union Room or Colosseum Club), so all people who claim ownership of a Korean Pokémon on a non-Korean game are lying, and the Pokémon themselves are hacked or PokéSAV loaded copies from .PKM files created with the help of a Korean version.

So I guess that means there are a lot of people with japanese/other foreign versions who live in Korea? I've seen a few people on the GTS with a location of Korea.

Maybe they've imported other language versions, yeah. I mean, who wants something that's incompatible with every other version in the world... in the generation when we finally get the ability to trade worldwide over the internet? Kinda pathetic, if you ask me.

Are you aware that you can register any country and city the first time the Geonet asks for your home location, right? Some people actually choose countries other than their own, and taking into account what TM2-Megatron said, you can conclude that's the reason of why you can see "Korean" people trading Pokémon over the GTS.

I'm only really concerned about the level zero thing.
I wrote it word for word, Its ID no. is normal, and the trainer OT is normal to, as well as pokeball.
I can check stats, as well.

I'm very sure that's hacked. One it's met at level zero and two it doesn't have the Pokemon Ranger signed.
