Thread: Mrs. Mime?

IMO, there really shoulda been more gender-specific pokemon. Examples;
Female Mr Mime looks wrong.
Male Gardevoir looks wrong.
Female Machamp looks wrong. (Though, irony has it I caught a female machoke and named it Alys after my friend who likes to beat up boys)

Also, maybe some sort of gender-triggered evolution for eevee? I dunno, eevee seems to be going the way of Kirlia or Wurmple evolution-wise, since it's exhausted all other possiblities. (Evolution by stone, evolution by level up in a certain place, evolution by happines in day/night)

Nope, never thought about it until I saw this thread. But yeah, Jynx kinda unofficialy fits the role.

Never once considered Jynx a counterpoint to Mr. Mime at all. Considering it got a prevo along with Electabuzz and Magmar, I always fit her in with them (which is why I was devastated she didn't get an evo in Gen 4; hoping for one this time).

But Mr. Mime doesn't need, nor will it a counterpart, now that it has the prevo. A counterpoint (which is along the lines of Tauros and Miltank: alike but not related), maybe, but why bother?

There doesn't need to be a Mrs. Mime, because that's just the English name.

Don't think of it as Mr. Mime. Think: Mistermime. One word. That way, you might actually be able to dellude yourself into believe--

Mrs. Mime? No can do. The games are Japanese and the Japanese name is gender neutral.

Also, if we have a female variation, then..We'd need a female Machap's, male Gardevoir's, or male Lopunny..Oh wait, cross out the all three. Lopunny's are gender neutral, male Garde's are awesome, and girls can be body builders too.

No. The English name is the only name for Mr. Mime that even denotes a gender. And they can already be female as it is. A Ms. or Mrs. Mime would be stupid, and nonsensical in every other language.

A female Mr. Mime isn't nearly as disturbing as a male Gardevoir.

Lol, some of you make a good point agaisnt it. I laughed quite alot while reading all these comments. But I dunno, im still up for it. A senior Mime would be cool. Like ( forgot who said it) said.

Yeah, Sr. Mime could still wear the same make-up, but with wrinkly skin and a blue beard.

I'm kind of disgusted by the rigid gender norms that people insist on with Gardevoir in particular. Especially considering how in the natural world the "prettier" of the species is usually the male (peafowl come to mind). I mean, yes it's unusual to see a male look like they're wearing a dress, but come on. These are POKÉMON. They're animals. Gardevoir's not wearing a dress.

Honestly, if people think female Machamp is disturbing, just look at Miltank..

But I always laugh at female Machamp. I have an image of that somewhere.
