Back on toic: Lanturn. It's already got a good moveset, but I think it could get some other moves, including:

1)Shadow Ball ("But it has nothing evil about it!" Well, neither does Clefairy. Or Togepi. Or Chansey. Or Lopunny. Or Lillipup. Or a lot of PKMN that get the move.)

2)Bite or Crunch (Remember, it's based on an anglerfish. What do anglerfish have? Exactly.)

3)Psychic (It can already get Psybeam by breeding. Why not this?)

I agree with Shadow Ball, since it seems to be a technique involving harnessing one's own ethereal energy, which most Pokemon can do. But Bite/Crunch? I know anglerfish have sharp teeth, but that alone doesn't warrant a move. What does Lanturn not have? Exactly.

Why can't Mienshao learn Power Whip? >.>

Probably because of some oversight in the game's development; it's why Excadrill can't use Stone Edge and Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem can't use Earthquake. I agree that it should learn Power Whip. If Lickilicky can use it with its tongue, Mienshao should be able to use it with its long, whiplike arm fur.

I agree with this -- the pokemon's movesets tend to be set based on the morphology of the pokemon, not of what it's based off of.

Those were special edition Pikachu. If that is what you mean. Just like how they often give out special Pokemon with moves that they couldn't normally have.

That would kinda make sense, too. It uses it's tail to whack the opponent.

Back on topic: Here's what I don't get. Why can't Haxorus learn Stone Edge? Wouldn't it just put the rocks on it's tusks, then toss them up from above?

Actually, Haxorus's movepool is kinda lame, and I can't think of anything else for it. What do you think?

not only with its tail, it can call forward a whip since it can know Vine Whip, also, Stone Edge is used by Summoning rocks and launching them, maybe they just wanted to differ Haxorus's moveset from the standart dragon one? i think it could learn Metal Claw and ze Punches, but as the latter ones, i figure it should get them on ''Grey''

I don't think many dragons can learn Stone Edge. Isn't it just the Gible line? And maybe Druddigon?

And about Haxorus, wouldn't it just dig the rocks up, then fling them at the opponent? Besides, he can already learn Rock Slide.

I like the idea of him having Metal Claw and the punches. At least, let him learn Mega Punch.

Actually, maybe he should just get Ice Punch, and also Wild Charge. Lets him deal with Flyers and other Dragons.

EDIT: Also, am I the only one who thinks that the elemental Monkeys should get the Oath moves(Fire Oath, Water Oath, Grass Oath)?

i could use learn any tm/hm cheat in hgbut white is prettier and has zekrom can anything be compared to zekrom no because it's awesome!

The thing with stone edge is that it sort of implies a connection with stone -- something that Haxorus doesn't have. There are plenty of other moves that could be appropriate: Rock Throw, for example. But Stone Edge isn't.

Any move that is implied by Pokedex entries that the Pokemon doesn't have, it should have by level-up, no questions asked, and if the move is a TM, should be compatible.

^ You mean like Emboar and Fire Punch?
