I noticed this too. Many attacks of mine miss a lot now, but also my butt has been saved by the foe missing its attacks LOTS OF TIMES. During the two weeks I played Black Version I witnessed more misses than the whole 3 years I played Gen IV, so yes, they might have tweaked the accuracy mechanics.

With no disrespect intended, how exactly would it be possible to tweak the accuracy mechanics? I always thought they just used a random number generator of some other luck-based system like that to determine whether or not an attack hit.
Either they simply increased the range of numbers that register a miss, or they added a new hidden "Evasion" stat for each Pokemon like they did for Happiness.

I'm glad it's not just me! Not sure as I've noticed it with 100% accuracy moves, but there will be several turns where both my opponent and my own Pokèmon will evade attacks.

Are you sure there's not an Evasion-boost ability involved?

Despite the new ability message that emerges, sometimes it doesn't appear under certain conditions. For example, Own Tempo doesn't display any message when the user is supposed to confuse itself (after Petal Dance, for example).
