Thread: Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect

When do you think the Generation 5 event legendaries are going to be released. Do you think the events will correspond to movies that they debut in much like Shaymin, Darkrai, and Arceus. I really want Genesect.

New event pokémon are normally first given in local events close to the times when the movies which they are in are shown in Japanese cinemas or first shown on TV in other countries. These times are normally July in Japan and February or March in other countries. I think Keldeo will be released in July 2012 and February or March 2013, Meloetta will be released in July 2013 and February or March 2014 and Genesect will be released in July 2014 and February or March 2015.

Well they added 13 legendary Pokemon to GenV, so idk if they're going to give them their own movies, but I think Water Max explained it best and hopefully they'll appear in the show first or something. I was hoping to add Meloetta to my main party, but I guess I'll have to wait lol

I'm not getting my hopes up. Still no Azure Flute...

I believe Keldeo will be the only event Pokemon who will get a worldwide debut due to the year it's taking place in, which means no legit Genesect for me. But at least I'll find out what Keldeo looks like (I keep hearing he looks more like a pony).

What? Why would Genesect and Meloetta not get events outside of Japan? That would just be totally unfair. And what does the year of distribution have to do with where it's being distributed?

They'll probably release them with movies or something. Or they could troll us like they did with the Azure Flute and never release them at all...

or instead of a true 'event', they'll just release it on the Wi-Fi

In generation IV Darkrai and Shaymin were first given in local movie events for Diamond and Pearl and then their event items were given exclusively for Platinum by wi-fi connection mystery gift. I think the Azure Flute wasn't released because Diamond, Pearl and Platinum could all get the movie event Arceus and the other 2 event pokémon weren't given both the movie event and the event item for the same versions. This order of events is different to the current order of events in generation V because the event item for Victini was given before the movie event Victini and Black and White got both the event item and the movie event but the event item may have been given to celebrate the release of Black and White. I think the order of events will be the same as in generation IV from Keldeo with the local movie events first and the wi-fi event second.

It would be good to have that event on Wi Fi, I really want Meloetta!

Well I think it's possible that Keldeo debut's in next years movie with the Musketeers and Kyurem.. and then Genesect debuts with Meloetta in the following movie. Genies in the last BW movie with a gen 6 Pokémon.

But yeah, it's likely Japan will get an event Pokémon next year.
