someone tell me how gym leaders get to the join avenue, do you have to reach a certain level in the mall or something?

I read Lv.15 somewhere, but I saw Gym Leaders only after Lv.20 (to date, Marlon and Drayden). Maybe I was just unlucky, however.

Right now my current Join Avenue is Rank 15. I found a nursery 5 days ago, which was pretty sweet for me alongside.

I got a visit from Burgh today(along with the standard trainers) I sent him to the florist and 1000 points later it and my Arcade hit level 28

Been at this for almost a week, and so far my avenue is at Rank 4. Mainly, I'm using Dream World to get my visitors, and I'm doing quite well.

Still thinking of a name for it when I have the chance to rename it. As for my nickname for the avenue people to call me, I chose "Ruby" after the short version of my PGL username. Odd, I know, but I'm not the "Kneel down before me!" type.

On Christmas day, I got the best present ever: I got me a Nursery! It's already at level 8.

New Year's Day brought along with it a visitor--namely Cheren. I was so happy but nervous when he said, "I'm curious about places to help Pokemon grow." I yelled for my hubby to look it up and Prime could find nothing on Serebii, but he typed the question into Google and found this: Global Trade Station-Join Avenue Guide. They have a listing of what each Gym Leader says and what they want to see. So I pointed Cheren in the direction of my Nursery and waited. My heart sank a little when he wanted to know what kind of shop it was.... but I yelped when he said it was great! Easy rank up for my Nursery and Avenue! Awesome!

I'm not raising my Avenue as much lately, as I want to go ahead and complete the National Dex so I can get the Shiny Charm. But I still get visitors as I do still make some trades. (Hey, there are lonely abandoned Golett hatchlings out there that need a loving home. They can't rescue themselves you know!)

Just recommended a shop to an NPC fan and somehow got a recommendation chain where the shopkeepers recommend other shops for that visitor. How often does that happen?

I think it varies from user to user, but I'm not sure. It happens to me frequently though.

It would depend on whether you have the person who wants a shop ask for the one at either the top(can sometimes go all the way down)and the same might happen in reverse(starts at lower end)and goes up

I was pleasantly surprised with the Join Avenue feature, I had read about it but I didn't take much notice to it since it didn't really phase me but once I got to the point where I reached Join Avenue I found myself going back and tending to it every so often.

Marlon visited my Join Avenue before I was even at level 20, so I think it only matters if you just got to the post-game.

A few days ago, Skyla dropped by and wanted to shop. Another easy level up for my Avenue! *squee*

I'm holding off on leveling up my Nursery to the max; I want to wait until I have the National Dex done, both Charms in hand and a pair of breed-able Pokemon in Daycare before I get it to 10. I want to be able to buy the Warming services at a discounted rate when I start my shiny hunts.

Hey guys! I'm doing some work to Bulbapedia's Join Avenue page, and I'd like your help! For everyone who gets a visit from a Gym Leader, could you please send me what their request is via PM? I also ask that people send me an image of their game as proof, don't just tell me what they say, that way I can avoid the risk of anyone making up phrases. (and no hacking the game to change what they say, etc.) Make sure their text is clear in the image, and also tell me which shop you recommended to them and if they were satisfied or not. I'd do it myself but it would take a LONG time before I got all the information I needed. Your assistance is appreciated!
