[QUOTE=Silverwynde;4619970]I find the 'seek' function unusable on the GTS because EVERYONE offering what I want is asking for a bloody level 9 and under Reshiram, Zekrom or Victini. Or, y'know a level 100 Arceus which at least is possible, but no less annoying when they're offering a BUIZEL!!! in return. Gah.
Here's a method which has worked for me lately: offer a bagon. ask for pretty much anything. come back in 24 hours - congrats, your bagon has gone and you got what you wanted. breed more bagon and repeat. as you exit the gts, take a moment to laugh at the halfwits asking for a level 9 and under Thundurus.
I really hope they fix the GTS in gen 6. They've implemented anti nicknamed laws to protect children, so why not implement anti impossibility laws to protect us genuine traders from seven year olds with hacks??
I breed egg move pokes & DW females.
I've had two successful trades on the GTS
Arcanine for Electivire
Pachirisu for Servine
two for two baby, let's go three for three
I don't know about outsells but I do know that those idiots who ask for impossible things drive me nuts. I was asking for a simple Magby and they wanted an Arceus at level 9 or less in return. What's the freaking point in asking for a Pokémon you just cannot get? The worst part is when all eight offers want legendary Pokémon in return. The other day I was asking for a Rattata to fill my Pokédex and the a$$hole wanted a Kyurem at level 100 and all he was offering was a Rattata at level 2. Do they think people are stupid or what? Because I don't think there's someone on the whole Earth idiot enough capable of making such a stupid trade.

If the GTS cloning thing doesn't work anymore, then they just do it to troll. Trolls are inevitable, sadly. Even if Game Freak were to install a feature in the GTS that prevents players from putting up trades with impossible conditions, there will always be people offering a Zubat for a LV.100 legendary.

I saw all eight people asking for level 100 legendaries in exchange for a Sunkern or something like that...
[QUOTE=LadySasaki;4620242]Pseudo legendaries work well. I've also had several successful GTS trades by offering Pichu, which for some reason is surprisingly popular. Munchlax works fine as well. And Shedinja... maybe?

Well, it would depend on the Zubat.
If its a shiny then sure, ask for a Legend. I've parted with a lot of Legendaries--Deoxys, Mew, Jirachi, you name it--to lay hands on a shiny Golett and I'm happy to do it. Heck, I've even parted with Legends just to get a Dream Worlder or two. Those don't bother me so much. It's the Patrat for an Arceus that gets me. Oh and the Reshiram for a level 9 and under Kyurem.
That said, the Elemental Monkeys work pretty well for trades, as do Starters. And female Combee are absolute gold.

Do you guys know another thing that drives me nuts? When I go to the GTS Negotiations and I find a person who immediately starts bragging about their shiny legendaries. I mean, I'm not stupid. I know all those are illegal. It's way too much coincidence that you have a shiny Lugia, as well as a shiny Mewtwo, as well as a shiny Mew, as well as a shiny Kyogre, as well as a shiny [mention every single existing legendary]. Dude, I just want normal, standard Pokémon. Not your stupid illegal and overrated shiny legendaries.
If you believe in the flying spaghetti monster post this in your sig. Don't just ignore this because he says if you deny me I will deny you in front of the beer volcano.
Eh heh heh... You'd be surprised. It might not be the same situation, but I traded my level eighty Mewtwo for a level one Charmander on the GTS. But I was trade chaining so that I could get a shiny Ditto on the GTS, though.
Worth it.
This magic's keeping me alive
But it's making me crazy
And I need to save you
But who's going to save me?
Well, the Mew is a dead giveaway--getting one of them shiny and without hacking is impossible. But some of the others maybe, maybe not. I myself sat on my tail for about sixth months and SRed for a shiny Lugia on SS; I also managed to get a shiny Palkia and shiny Giratina within a day or two of the encounters on Pearl. Some people do seem to have pretty decent luck getting a shiny Legendary. Others yeah, they are definitely hacking. (In my case, it's simply my Pearl cart. That thing loves to cough up random shinies.)
Ah yes, the wonderful "desperation trades". I've done quite a few of those.
I traded off an Arceus to get a level 1 male Scyther. Why? Someone had a shiny Golett on the GTS and they wanted a male Scyther. Trading off the Arceus was faster than getting my Scizor from my White cart, throwing it into Daycare, waiting for an Egg and hatching it. In the time it would have taken to do all of that, the Golett may have been claimed by someone else and I didn't want that to happen. So yeah, it was worth it to blow that Arceus for such a crazy trade.
I've also done a few insane trades on a whim and gotten a better deal than I sent off. For example: just for slags and giggles I traded a Jirachi to someone who was offering up a Japanese Sawk. When I dragged my new Dageki before the judge in Nimbasa, I found out he was perfect in Attack which made him a great Masuda candidate. My Dogū on B2 was the end result of a crazy trade--I gave up a Landorus for a level 12 DW Golett who had excellent stats. To quote Optimus Primal: "Sometimes crazy works."

Don't forget Archeops. It seems like everyone mashed a through that part of the game and ended up with a turtle.
