Thread: Insane asking prices at the GTS

The GTS is great when it works within a few hours, but when you wait a whole day and get no offers it is a bit of a bummer. The experience has taught me, however, that if I ever wanted ANYTHING, all I need is a Lv.100 Palkia. A Palkia will get you ABSOLUTELY anything you desire on GTS.

I think it's all about the box art... Charizard is more liked than Venusaur, Ho-oh perhaps more than Lugia (dunno, at least I always liked Ho-oh more), Groudon more than Kyogre, Diaruga more than Parukia...

Makes me want to get Pearl so I can trade a Palkia for a Darkrai >.>

I haven't got a trade yet in the GTS....

I'm gonn try now since I went on a catching spree and have many new and rare ones.

Is it true that you czn't request a poke that you havent seen? Because if it is, wouldn't it be really difficult to get one the the event pokes?

If you have a Diaruga or Parukia, you can get anything, lol.

That is correct.

I've found to get the best results, choose a level range. Choosing any level gives you less choices, as those always want like LEvel 50 Paurkia....

What I hate most is when they ask for something that they know perfectly well is impossible to give them.

Like a Palkia for a lvl 9 and under Palkia?!....
I mean, seriously, that's basically them gloating that they have it
and they aren't trading it unless you want to Hack the game
to get exactly what you're looking to try for in the first place..

But if I'm going to use a Hack to get a Pokemon just to trade to you,
Why don't I just keep the Pokemon I hacked for,
which is better then the one you're offering to begin with...

I just don't understand these people.

Though I haven't done it myself, I've heard it's for the cloning glitch. They ask for impossible things so people can't get to their pokémon while they're trying to clone them, IIRC.

That, or bragging. Especially if it's a shiny legendary.

It is possible to get a level 9 and under Palkia. You could do that thanks to the Shinjoh Ruins event in HG/SS. Those puppies are rare though, believe me.

What really irritates me is seeing the stuff being offered for level 9 and under Reshiram, Zekrom and the like. It doesn't have to be special, either. Gah, frustrating as heck. There are even those doing it with Magnemite! >.<

Really makes doing a rescue tough sometimes, I tell you.

I encountered that the other day looking for an electabuzz

four dudes wanted like level 9 Dialga's/Zekrom/Reshiram so I was like "yo I"m out, peaaace"

That is pretty annoying when people do this but in the end I have two event arceus' (one from diamond, one from platnium) so I can get level one dialga, palkia, and giratina whenever I feel like it. But those aren't the only legendaries anyway.

Wasn't that fixed in Generation V? Because it still happens with Lv.9 Reshiram, Victini...



All I want is a Japanese Ditto. A Ditto! Only want to try Masuda method. And find a Jap guy who wants to try Masuda method with a western Ditto. And however, people makes these impossible requests. They killed all the magic of the Magnemite chains for Join Avenue, too.
