Thread: The Hardest battle Ever

pretty sure this is a duplicate but I couldn't find the other, sorry.

These options are a list of what I found the hardest battles when i did them.

i chose other because i found the tag battle against lance and clair in hg/ss the hardest. i had an ace team including a level 100 celebi and still lost

I chose Lance, because his Dragonite is so hard to beat. My high level (I think around LV47-LV50) Lugia had trouble with it.

i chose brock from yellow, I lost to that like 20 times as a 5 year old, now, its fairly easy

Am I an idiot because I found the RSE rival by the Cycling Road harder than the Lance/Clair tag battle?

My hardest was Cyrus in the Distortion World, in Platinum. I didn't have much trouble with the lackeys all through the mountain, then he slaughters me. I ended up having to grind for like three weeks to finally beat the jerk.

I can't really say just one, there were so many of them, I'll list my toughest battles.

vs Gary in Pokemon Leaf Green, right on the bridge that leads to Bill's house, it took me 8 tries, no lie.

vs Clair in Soul Silver.

vs Volkner in Pokemon Platinum.

vs Cynthia in Pokemon Platinum.

vs Wattson in Pokemon Emerald, man it took me a while.

vs Cyrus in Pokemon Platinum, the Distortion World... took forever.

My hardest so far would have to have been Cyrus at Mt. Coronet, I was under leveled then but all I had to do was put the right moves here and get rid of the wrong moves and decide which (terrible) pokemon I used before I switched over to my Empoleon and then I won the second time. But I'm expecting... Hm... I don't know because at the moment at Pearl I'm so high leveled..

No, I think I'm the idiot for finding Whitney more difficult than the Lance & Clair battle. It was one of the two times I lost in SS, and the other one was when I tried to take on Red with a bunch of Pokemon in the 50's.

It's relative. Depends of your team and rival's team. If you have a fast Pokémon with ice or rock moves you can smash Lance in a matter of seconds, but if you have just fire/water/whatever it will be harder.

Anyway, the hardest battle I remember is Red in Gen 4.

If I remember well, that battle was far away the last Pokémon Center and it's very likely your Pokémon will be already tired at that point. Also, I played R/S/E several times and always were underleveled...

I'd say it was the Gary Oak champion battle in RBY, since I was 6 and did it with only a weakened Blastoise.

Out of the poll options, probably May beside the Cycling Road. The hardest of all were Morty and Wattson though. To beat the latter, I had to evolve my Mudkip in order to give it the Electric-type immunity.

The Cynthia Battle. I find it extremely unfair that she has over level 60 pokemon while you have pokemon that are over level 45 or 48 or pokemon that just started lv 50. Her lv. 67 Garchomp Dragon Rushing or Earthquaking every pokemon I send out of my party >B(

Steven took me about two years to beat. >:(

May was hard to beat too, though.

My vote goes to Steven~
Honestly, R/S/E was full of a lot of tough battles XD
The kid you help out with the Ralts is unusually difficult to battle.
