Shizui is confirmed to only have 3.

We already know Shizui has 3 Pokemon, so it'll probably be three from Burgh up.

Here's my list...

Burgh
* Dwebble - Whirlipede is gone since Homika has one, so Dwebble drops down one spot.
* Swadloon - Leavanny is demoted to a Swadloon, as Burgh has replaced it with...
* Vespiquen - Seems like a nice fit for Burgh, and fits with the honey-smeared walls in his Gym.

Clay
* Onix - Onix on a Ground-type Leader for once as opposed to Rock-type Leader.
* Stunfisk - Replaces Palpitoad, and gives Clay a counter against Water and Flying Pokemon.
* Krookodile - Krokorok gets bumped up.

Skyla
* Swablu -We know it's going to be in the game, so why not give Skyla it?
* Vullaby - No in-game trainer owned it in Black or White, so I'd like to see that changed.
* Braviary - Very powerful Flying-type Pokemon, it should get some stage presence.

Drayden
* Crimgan - Drops one space.
* Gabite - Strong Dragon-type, I think Gible was confirmed in?
* Haxorus -Stays as his strongest Pokemon.

Shizui
* Mantine - Since we've seen it in promotional material.
* Octillery - Nice counterpart to Mantine.
* Lapras - Would be a cool end-boss. Have we ever had a main trainer with one?

Shizui only has three Pokemon? What a disappointment.

Lorelei had one, Misty had one in Gen II and IV, and Red had one in Gen IV.

@GallifreyanGallade; All the BW Gym Leaders from Burgh onwards only had 3 Pokémon, as did the first 6 DP Gym Leaders.

Yes, but I was hoping that after Elesa's level raise, the seventh and eighth Gym Leaders would have at least 4 Pokemon (just like with DPPt).

I don't think Shizui will have 3 non-Unova Pokémon in his team.

Also, he's in the Eastern part, and possibly a foreigner given his accent. It's not that weird for him to have all non-Unova Pokemon. I personally found it weird that Gracia supposedly came to Hoenn to train her ice types, but all her ice types are Hoenn Pokemon.

Maybe he's from Hoenn? he DOES have a Kyushu accent doesn't he? and isn't Hoenn based on Kyushu? I think Glacia might be from Sinnoh (it would make sense)

Shizui also appears to be tanned, so maybe he came from Hoenn? Plus, he seems to have a Kyushu accent, and Kyushu happens to be the Japanese region that Hoenn is based on. So yes, I'd say that Shizui comes from Hoenn.

By the way, I think you mean Glacia, not Gracia. :D

Yeah, that's what some people suspect...and it'd be interesting if he had a connection to the two other 8th Gym Water Gym Leaders, who are also from Hoenn.

Doubt it... Wallace and Juan were classy classy stylish types while Shizui is pretty buff and tanned

No one in Hoenn had a Kyushu dialect, whereas people from Goldenrod had a distinct Osaka dialect. They're probably just using the dialect as an indicator that he's a foreigner and not that he's from Hoenn. Unless they retroactively give everyone a Kyushu dialect.

Well maybe they are giving him a Kyushu dialect to indicate he's from Hoenn... who knows? why give him a Kyushu accent if he's not from Hoenn? Plus he is pretty tanned which would fit Hoenn's tropical climate... heck maybe only people not native to Hoenn really notice it? (though since Brendon/May are from Johto they should notice... who knows?)
