Just beat Burgh's gym. His room, though. HIS ROOM.
It was waaay too FABULOUS for it to be "accidental" or "coincidental". Nope, GF knew what they were doing.
Rainbows. Rainbows everywhere.

Well, my Japanese experience against Cheren can best be described as "epic fail". The first time I severely underestimated Cheren. 8D; Dumbest mistake ever, I was 5 levels below him, no joke.
Second time was a critical hit fluke. OTL Nothing I could do there.
The third round, I decided to go search for a Riolu since I heard they could be found at Sangi Ranch. I caught a Riolu, but I couldn't read his attack names, and I didn't have the internet handy. 8D; It didn't end well.
The fourth one wasn't *too* bad, Flambe the Tepig was doing just fine, he managed to greatly weaken Cheren's Herdier before getting taken out. Isis the Riolu was up, but I still couldn't read his attack names other than Quick Attack. Except my stylus hand slips up and selects the move below Quick Attack. I don't know what move it was, but it missed or failed, and poor Isis got hit in the face with a +2 Work-Upped Take Down. :< Yep.
Cheren is very tough, even giving Lenora a run for her money. I guess with Whitney and Norman around, it's truly a tradition for Normal Gym Leaders to be quite difficult. OTL
Signature is a WIP for the moment.
For now, I have claimed: Mewtwo, Member's Card, Wide Lens, Honey Gather, and Psystrike.
In the Japanese version he has a Herdier? I've never played it in Japanese LOL
Yeah, everything's the same as it is in the Japanese version, only language is different. oAo I don't think there was ever an instant of region-locked Pokemon for NPCs.

So I'm assuming you got your Seel from a trade Fire Star. You had me going there for a moment.
Well I'm currently playing W2 with a Rom on my computer, my DS isn't working at the moment and I haven't had time to go and buy it (but seriously am thinking about it). I'm not really into using Pokesav or Pokegen, but I used it for this one time to get a Seel since you won't be able to catch one until later in the game.
Oh and I finally beat Cheren guys! :D My Mareep saved me

@Miles101 I agree! That was the toughest Lillipup I have ever battled. But I found Cheren way more of a challenge that Chlli, Cress, and Cilian.
Counter on Riolu is really useful for the first few gyms as it can 1HKO almost everything and then be healed with potions.
PM me and I'll rate your team.
That's so true! I'm just glad I'm done with that Lillipup lol :P
I've never been lucky enough for Counter to work, the opponent always uses a status or special move.

^^^^Agree!
I just finished all the Gym Leaders in my White 2 version.
PS: I am playing in the Challenge mode.
Cheren: Challenging, but not as hard as Lenora and the other Normal Gym Leaders.
Roxie: Easy, even without Magnemite in my team.
Burgh: Surprisingly challenging, since Leavanny's Aerial Ace caught me off guard. I lost once to him.
And I did not have any Water-Type move to get rid of Dwebble.
Elesa: As Easy as in BW, but I had a Ground-Type (Trapinch) in my team. It was a bit underleveled, though.
Clay: Hard. Again, I had no Water-Type in my team, so I had to rely basically only on Blaziken's Double Kick to defeat his Onix and Excadrill. I lost once.
Skyla: Challenging to hard. That damn Sigilyph caught me off guard. -_-
Drayden: Easy, since I had Flygon in my team and his only Dragon-Type move (Except for Altaria's Dragon Pulse) has negative priority.
Marlon: Challenging. His Mantine has a huge Sp. Def and 80% of my team is oriented towards Special Attack. Plus, his Jellicent is the boss.
Now... to the Elite Four :3
You don't need challenge mode when you're using an all-prevo team. |: I level-grinded all night Friday to take on the Elite 4, and I had a 13-level advantage over Iris by the time I reached her (not that the E4 themselves were a cakewalk). It was still INSANELY hard, and the battle itself took well over an hour. Her final Pokemon (Haxorus), was definitely the hardest. "OTL The first half of VS Haxorus was nothing more than a Revive+Heal+Revive+Heal, and for a frightening moment I thought I would lose after coming so far with an all-prevo team. Iago, my Archen, was a beast with his Dragon Claw. Thank GOD for Critical Hits when you actually need them. I guess it's because of my choice of team this time around, but I honestly don't get why anyone would think Iris is an easy Champion. "OTL
