Best Champion ever? Well, she's on par with Shirona to me.
Brilliant choice of Champion though.
I like her team, especially my Gen 5 favourite Archeops ( besides Zuruzukin, of course ).

Wallace seems younger than his "master" Juan and became Champion instead of him, so it isn't as far fatched that Iris just had more potential than Drayden. Iris being too young is also a moot point since Blue was probably even younger than Iris and Red's badassery *cough* is for some reason universally accepted while he is pretty young as well.
Anime, Games, it doesn't matter, I guess people like to call her a Mary Sue everywhere. :p

I never really saw Iris as a Mary Sue (Cynthia on the other hand...). Really, this is better than making N the Champion or something. I would have much preferred Drayden though, as he has much, much more experience, which is how one gets good at anything.

I only bring this up because it's really tedious to look up foreign character names, and I had to do a quick search to figure out who the hell you were talking about.

Mouse over the name. It links to the character's bulbapedia page, the URL of which has the english name.

Isn't there some rule for the forums, unwritten or otherwise, that if the English name is known, it's kinda mandatory to use it? We're not in the time period anymore in which that is her only name.

No, that's only on Serebii forums. In fact, Archaic actually posted an announcement about this: Announcements - Current Event: Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 (scroll down to Archaic's).

The simplest outcome based on current evidence is Iris beat Alder.

Unless you're saying Iris beat the current PC. Or the fact that old PC was a glory hog like Cheren, beat Alder even though they know they're stronger, and then also abdicated their position.

But again, the simplest solution based on concrete fact is that Iris simply beat Alder. All else is fan speculation until more information is revealed.

What does it say around Brycen's image? It shows the current PC, so I'm assuming he's still in the game, albeit not a gym leader.

He's on the far right, in the middle.

Or, hey may have retired, and Iris was asked to take his place, given her potential. That is the Alder fan in me talking, but it's still feasible.

Larvesta is a bit to powerful for the 3rd gym don't you think?

I don't get why Iris got a Lapras !
I mean , Lapras can't even move properly without Water ,
Shouldn't a Milotic make a better choice then Lapras !

The same reason Lance had one in Pokemon Stadium. I'm not complaining, it's more Fighting type fodder.

Depending on its movepool, and the fact that Larvesta is actually more physical than its evolution, not really. Would had been better than what he got, thats for sure.

True... but still considering what it evolves into... hey maybe he'll get Volcarona if we get leader rematches? bah stupid time difference hope we get word on the post game soon

@Gym Leader Iris; Change your username to Champion Iris :P Congratulations!

Iris's design is growing on. I agree it would make more sense with Drayden, but I have theory. Drayden became the champ in the 2 year gap, but Iris trained under her new champion teacher and managed to dethrone him and surpass him.
