Re: Gym Leader/Gym Leader Team Predictions
I am also quite disappointed with the gym leader teams this generation. They were too easy in BW, and it looks like they're going to be more of the same in BW2. I really hope that the under-levelling is a sign of much higher level battles in the post game, though I do hope they don't suddenly jump in levels the way they did in BW. I'd much rather the level increase happen gradually throughout the pre-league story and then continue on naturally so there's no sudden need to grind your team up ten extra levels just to survive in the post-game.

She doesn't have Venipede, but Whirlipede

Re: Gym Leader/Gym Leader Team Predictions
Confirmed order
Cheren
Homika
Burgh
Elesa
Clay
Skyla
Drayden
Shizui
Re: Gym Leader/Gym Leader Team Predictions
The good thing about Elesa still being in the same position is that it probably means there's a level bump, since Flaaffy is level 28 and it's likely that Zebstrika is still her main pokemon which will be around level 30 imo. That then means Clay, Skyla etc will all be higher. Though this seems obvious considering how many new routes and places we're getting, because more routes and areas means more battles which means more EXP.
Also, Shizui being last... :3 I'm better than you @Gym Leader Drayden;! :P
Re: Gym Leader/Gym Leader Team Predictions
I hope Shizui's strongest Pokemon is a Lumineon.
Re: Gym Leader/Gym Leader Team Predictions
Wow, I did not think for a moment that Shizui would be the eighth gym leader, but that must be why he's alongside top-tier trainers like Drayden, Caitlin and Cynthia in the new BW2 anime opening.
I suspect he'll have either a Gyarados or Milotic in his team, maybe a Samurott as well.
Re: Gym Leader/Gym Leader Team Predictions
I think Shizui's team will be: Golduck, Ludicolo, Jellicent/Carracosta.
Re: Gym Leader/Gym Leader Team Predictions
Now that Shizui's order is last, I'm changing my predictions around:
Cheren: LV 11 Patrat, LV 13 Lillipup (confirmed)
Homika: LV 16 Koffing, LV 18 Whirlipede (confirmed)
Burgh: LV 21-23 Dwebble, LV 21-23 pre-Gen V Bug-type, LV 23-25 Leavanny
Elesa: Emolga (probably same LV as Flaafy), LV28 Flaafy, LV 30 Zebstrika (the final pokemon seems to be two levels higher than the rest of a GL's team)
Clay: LV 31-33 Krokorok, LV 31-33 Palpitoad/Seismitoad and/or pre-Gen V Ground-type, LV 33-35 Excadrill
Skyla: LV 35-38 Unfezant, LV 35-38 Crobat (assuming it's confirmed, possibly replace Swoobat), LV 37-40 Swanna
Drayden: LV 41-43 Fraxure, LV 41-43 Druddigon and/or pre-Gen V Dragon-type, LV 43-45 Haxorus
Shizui: LV 45-47 pre-Gen V Water-types, LV 47-50 Gen V water-type (possibly Alomomola)
Re: Gym Leader/Gym Leader Team Predictions
I don't know why people are so surprised about Shizui's position. He had all Ace Trainers in his gym despite the Swimmer trainer class being more fitting.
Re: Gym Leader/Gym Leader Team Predictions
Hold on a second guys, did this seriously go through the anime writer's heads?:
"Hey, we need to have a Gym Leader from Black 2/White 2 to battle Ash for his 8th badge to help promote the new games"
"Well, we have two confirmed Gym Leaders from the game so far - Homika, who is 2nd and Shizui, who is 8th"
"Wait, the 8th Gym Leader has been confirmed already?!"
"Yes"
"Okay, we're going with Homika".
Re: Gym Leader/Gym Leader Team Predictions
Predictions! Minus Cheren, Homika, and Elesa, since they are confirmed! I must say, I'm a little disappointed by Lillipup, but whatever. I'm sure there'll be some trick that makes him great.
I'm also incredibly happy Shizui is the eighth gym leader. Go Water types!
Cheren:
Patrat
Lillipup
Homika:
Koffing
Whirlipede - I'm glad she has Whirlipede over Trubbish, to be honest.
Burgh:
Dwebble
Vespiquen - Please? Unless the honey's gone, I think she'd fit him grandly.
Leavanny
Elesa:
Emolga
Flaaffy - Good choice, Gamefreak! Flaaffy suits her well.
Zebstrika
Clay:
Krokorok
Gliscor - I think that'd be a really cool 'mon for his team, if Gligar's line comes to Unova.
Excadrill
Skyla:
Swoobat
Togekiss - Eh, why not? If the Togepi line is in Unova, I think it'd be cool. Skyla's incredibly happy and peppy, and Altaria's been used by Winona and Iris or Drayden might have one.
Swanna
Drayden:
Deino - Since he's the seventh gym leader, I can't see him having a Zweilous, unless the leaders are more powerful than we're expecting. I'd love to see a Zweilous.
Flygon
Haxorus
Shizui:
Ludicolo/Vaporeon
Alomomola
Golduck/Vaporeon
Shizui's team's the hardest for me. I'd love to see him with any combination of those four Pokemon. I do think he should have Alomomola because I'd rather not see the Oshawott line again and because he should have a Unova Water type. I don't like Seismitoad. I suppose Carracosta would be a good choice, too. Especially with Solid Rock.
Ludicolo/Vaporeon/Golduck
Alomomola/Carracosta
Golduck/Vaporeon

Hey, I ain't complaining about that. Homika is awesome. :)
