I love Hoenn. It's so beautiful. The map is amazing. The bikes were so cool. The characters were interesting. Secret bases. Diving. Just. Amazing.

Well, at least someone here gets it.

Gen 4. I just love the Sinnoh region. The only Pokemon I hated were Bidoof and Bibarel. Other than them, I loved the rest. Also because of Johto returned in HG/SS and thats my second favorite region.

There is no "Best" Generation (as I'm sure people have stated by now, I'm just too lazy to red). There are "favorite" generations, but no Generation is truly the best. No generation is truly the worst. It's all just opinions.

My favorite, personally, is Unova. Everything felt so new and fresh compared to the (in my opinion) stale Sinnoh. Don't get me wrong, Sinnoh was pretty neat, but it just felt a little boring. Nothing felt really new and changed, aside from the 3D graphics and the Physical/Special move changes.

To make it simple, my favorites would be:
1) Unova
2) Johto
3) Hoenn
4) Kanto
5) Sinnoh

Part of the reason I love gen 2 is because you get Johto AND Kanto in one game.

I think that's right: people are not voting for Kanto's original Generation because it can be visited in four generations, so Kanto may be your favorite region but still you'll vote for another gen, since you'd get Kanto+any other region by voting for another one.

Which makes Gen IV my best Gen so far: it includes DPPt and the Gen II games (my favourite ones), and 3 of the current 5 regions (3 out of 4 of the then released ones). But I voted for Gen I to balance the poll a bit (and because by game, my favourite ones are the first two).


BTW who would hate every region? And WHY? I mean, that should mean you don't like the series, so what are those people doing here?

my opinion of this has changed. I'm not one to fall for the "newest generation is the best generation" junk, but Black and White are the most fun I've had in a Pokemon Game in a long time.

Therefore, I vote for Black and White.

Can't say for certain as there's no way to prove that this is the final Generation. But out of all of them, I say Gen III.

Gens III and V have the best pokémon.
So to me is:

1 - Unova
2 - Hoenn
3 - Kanto
4 - Sinnoh
5 - Johto

Best Pokemon - Gen V
Best Music - Gen I
Best Story - Gen V
Best New Features - Gen II
Best Region Design - Gen III
Best Dialogue - Gen IV
Best Challenge - Gen I

If I was to state my favorites in order it would go.

1.Kanto
2.Hoenn
3.Johto
4.Unova
5.Sinnoh (lucky it makes the grade at all)

It's always been Gen 3 for me, but the new games were so fun and introduced so many cool monsters, that it's making it really difficult to keep rooting for Houen right now. My opinion may very well change in the near future, but for now, I'm sticking with the one that let me train the likes of Combusken and Ludicolo for the first time.

I guess in order it'd be;
1.) Houen
2.) Unova
3.) Sinnoh
4.) Johto
5.) Kanto

Il have to go with Gen V so far as I love all the new stuff they added in and the plot was very well done compared to the other games I think.
