If you use a vitamin on a pokemon, the evs it has in a paticular stat increases by 10, but only until it has gained 100 evs in that stat. So if I want to train a metagross in attack, I can save myself numerous battles and a whole lot of time by giving it 10 protiens, then starting to ev it.
If we are having a battle and I disconnect, it is 100% unintentional; my power goes off often and each time my modem resets.

Gone until Aug, 10 or something for a trip w/out net access. C u after that. If I suddenly dissapear after that you can bet I got bad grades on my IGCSE's, since results are coming out the week afterwards.

Hi guys and girls, my mate started on heart gold recently and has got quite far. He choose chikorita as his stater but has a rash nature and will not start again for a better nature or breed. Thus my question is could any one offer up a good move set and EV spread for a Meganuim with a rash nature ?

I need help with my team. Badly. I've only recently defeated the Elite 4 in Platinum so their movesets were formatted to the weaknesses of the E4. I have two empty spaces left as well that I want to fill, but I don't know what with.

    Empoleon - LV 61

    Hold Item: Mystic Water
    Nature: Brave
    - Description: Often lost in thought.
    - Surf
    - Waterfall
    - Ice Beam
    - Blizzard
    Stats: ATK - 143, DEF - 145, SP.ATK - 167, SP.DEF - 131, SPD - 90, HP - 194

    Houndoom - LV 57

    Hold Item: N/A
    Nature: Bashful
    - Description: Somewhat vain.
    - Faint Attack
    - Fire Fang
    - Crunch
    - Flamethrower
    Stats: ATK - 126, DEF - 74, SP.ATK - 157, SP.DEF - 117, SPD - 136, HP - 163

    Togekiss - LV 55

    Hold Item: Rose Incense
    Nature: Gentle
    - Description: Good perseverance.
    - Solarbeam
    - Fly
    - Metronome
    - Reflect
    Stats: ATK - 75, DEF - 120, SP.ATK - 150, SP.DEF - 161, SPD - 118, HP - 168

    Luxray - LV 60

    Hold Item: Pecha Berry
    Nature: Gentle
    - Description: Sturdy body.
    - Crunch
    - Discharge
    - Thunder Fang
    - Thunder
    Stats: ATK - 168, DEF - 109, SP.ATK - 135, SP.DEF - 132, SPD - 123, HP - 193

I have no idea what to do with their movesets. D:< They seem soo... bland to me.

Nice team, but in the extras, dump Manectric. It's not good enough. Get something like a Raichu, he will be a good electric.

So I've decided that my entire HG team would have some kind of evolution released in the second season. Here it is so far. I'd like to know if it's well balanced, actually. Any kinks I need to fix? And which set for Ampharos would be best? Unless you've got something else in mind that is.

    - Flamethrower
    - Aura Sphere
    - Air Slash
    Feraligatr (Adamant) Choice Band

    Tyrannitar (Adamant) Choice Scarf

that seems more fitting for a competitive team, what with all those low accuracy moves.

Well, I will be using it to battle with friends. But there are only three low-accuracy moves in there, no?

I've just started EV training my Pokemon with the EV training items from the BF. I really don't want to change any Pokemon in my team, but I'm willing to replace any moves or train a stat that needs some work.

Alright, I'm trying to defeat the elite 4 and to be honest I don't think my team is a high enough level but perhaps there are other problems I haven't seen. Any and all help is appreciated!

    Rapidash (Quirky) lv 52
    Item: Magmariser
    Flame Wheel
    Fire Blast
    Stomp
    Bounce

    Floatzel (Bashful) lv 54
    Item: SeaIncense/Nevermelt Ice
    Surf
    Waterfall
    Crunch
    Ice Beam

    Toxicroak (Brave) lv 51
    Item: Fist Plate
    Rock Smash
    Ice Punch
    Rock Climb
    Poison Jab

    Garchomp (Lax) lv 55
    Item: Dragon Fang
    Aerial Ace
    Crunch
    Dragon Rush
    Dig

    Torterra (Quiet) lv 53
    Item: Rose Insence
    Cut
    Earthquake
    Giga Drain
    Crunch

    Luxray (Hardy) lv 53
    Item: Magnet
    Thunder Fang
    Spark
    Crunch
    Strength

I can already see that Rapidash's Quirky nature might be a problem and I should probably teach Luxray something in the place of Thunder Fang but I'm not sure what. I was toying with the idea of teaching Garchomp Flamethrower as Rapidash keeps getting wrecked by Bronzone's Earthquake and to shoulder some of the burden during the first Elite 4 member.

This is a fairly standard team consisting of very standard pokemon. You may want to switch Luxray's Spark to Thunder.
Apart from that if your main objective is to beat the Elite 4, then level up and have them all at atleast 57 and then go for it.

If you have a choice for which fire, water, or grass pokemon you want to use why would you pick the starter pokemon? Their are much better pokemon of all 3 types out there. The starters are just average. (and by the way I wouldn't use grass pokemon anyway because they are usually weak and are easily countered by type matching.)

That way every pokemon is average. Every pokemon has type weakness. Therefore you shouldn't take any pokemon? No!
Here's the thing if you're building a team, you usually build a team around one pokemon. It all depends on the kind of team. If you're going for heavy offense or a Stall team or a Bulky offense team. You need to be able to counter as many threats of the metagame as you can.
