The Offical Platinum Guide shows Fantina's Huanter as Ghost/Dark instead of Ghost/Poison... Yet everywhere else It's correct...

Wow, I didn't notice that before, but it is indeed there. This might top all the others. I sympathize for the sap who believed that and tried for a Blaziken with Hydro Pump.

In Pokedex from Prima, Dragonite is labeled "Dragon/Type"...
I guess they meant to put "Flying" but it wasn't edited in. Slight error, but I found it funny...

Yep. My friend fell for this badly; he'd always use it in arguments. Example:
Him: (Arguing that his illogical belief of something was valid) Yeah, well, Torchic can learn Poison Sting and Bubblebeam. Weird stuff happens!
Me: *facepalm* That was a MISTAKE. It's not actually true.
    Ugh.

In my diamond and pearl official pokedex it lists the best physical and special attackers for each type. It lists Roserade for the poison special attacker. But it just repeats what it said about Gengar for ghost special attacker. Now I'll never know how to use my Roserade effectively...

Post things in the pokemon guide books you found that where dead wrong or just amusing.

*opens his official nintendo power diamond/pearl guid book and goes to page 60 and reads the Pokemon Note on Drifloon*

    Drifloon
    Type: Ghost/Flying
    Ability: Acrobatic/Detonate

    ...
    ... EH!?
XD Looks like that forgot to put the American names of those Abilities. I'm assuming they're Unburden and Aftermath, respectively.

That is a fail of epic proportions, I must say.

The first error is that Ralts doesn't evolve. Kirlia evolves into Gardevoir but Ralts isn't even in the family at all. The same thing happens with Trapinch, where it doesn't evolve at all, and Vibrava evolves in to Flygon. I actually believed that one, because Trapinch looks nothing like the other two. The next is that a picture claims Huntail evolves into Gorebyss. And Salamence is only Dragon type, not Flying. and Nincada is a Psychic type. Taillow is only Flying. I'm sure there is more, but I can't find them all.
I frigging lol'ed. That books of yours certainly sounds helpful!

It's just a printing mistake but funny if you ask me. Also it calls the move Draco meteor "meteor rain."

I think you guys have the same book I've got. I remember some certain PokeDex entries are used multiple times for different Pokemon and some Pokemon have movepools of other Pokemon (I can't remember which, but one Pokemon has the BMs of a different one).

Every single mention of how to evolve Wurmple. They usually say time of day or gender by those that actually look at the game's code can see it's the personality value.

This Prima guide I bought in 2005 (which was released in 2004, a short while before Emerald's release) had errors ranging from the "Specialty balls" in RS being supposedly "untransferable" to the Gen 1 remakes, that a Pokemon inherits its IVs from a parent of the opposite gender (I actually bought that crap before joining on Bulbapedia!), and that Nincada's creation of its ghostly shell really requires an empty Pokeball in Gen 3. There are probably tons of others, but I rarely look in that piece of shit, and what I do find usually doesn't stay in my memory so much.

My ol' R/B/Y guidebook has a few.

It mixes up Cerulean and Celadon city... And said Sabrina was the fifth gym leader instead of Koga, even though you can do either of them first. Mixed up pictures of Pidgeotto and Pidgeot.

And my old Hoenn guide on the Pokemon themselves said Trapinch didn't evolve into Vibrava and that Huntail turned into Gorbyss.
    Seriously? Seriously? Seriously? Seriously?

My Brady Games Ruby/Sapphire guide constantly called Ralts 'Ralis'. I believe they also got the Pokemon in your second rival battle wrong.

My Prima Pokemon Colosseum strategy Guide suggested using an electric type attack against a Quagsire.

My old Official Pokemon Handbook (with the original 150 in it) says that Venusaur and its family are "seed" types instead of grass XP also, the move Thunder doesn't exist and it says that Lickitung's Wrap attack confuses your opponent and Supersonic attacks up to five times in a row lol
