My thought is that there could be an airstrip in Cianwood or else on the shore near Olivine city (near the port and the lighthouse) which would grant access to Johto and Kanto; an airstrip either taking the place of Pal Park, or else just next to Pal Park granting access to Sinnoh; and an airstrip at the south end of Slateport city granting access to Hoenn.

This would all be really cool, but I doubt it'll happen (at least in this generation)

Mm hmm. I imagine that there's a 90% chance you addressed Ivysaur's argument, but I can't be sure.

They had seven in Hoenn, they don't actually have a set number. In any case, battling on bikes? It's serious business.

The main hanger in the Airport is the Gym. Black and White just liked to integrate Gyms into other businesses, like Sanyou City's Resturant and Shippo City's Museum.

There is the main Airport building before you step onto the runway, but that has a conveyer belt next to a bunch of boxes, so Fukiyose Airport is obviously not a commercial airline.

I admit that the runway is pretty huge, but that was most likely just made that way to be realistic. We have Castelia City's harbour for the commercial travel in Unova.

I think Fukiyouse Airport serves no purpose. Like Ryu Shoji said, Castelia City's harbor is for commercial travel, so I think Fukiyose Airport is a cargo airport.

Here's the line I was talking about, btw:

Fuuro: ...Professor, my plane's a cargo plane!
It carries luggage, not people.
...Not to mention places like Kanto and Sinnoh aren't easy destinations!

It made me lol since everyone thought that's what the plane was for. :P

I thought that helped the player gain spiritual enlightenment and inner peace.

Instead of maybe you going somewhere using the airport, maybe people from the other regions will visit Unova (like player characters from Kanto/Johto/Hoenn/and Sinnoh)and in the process battle you with starters from their respective regions.

That would actually be pretty cool.

Shame that the Fukiyose Airport is not a commercial airport. It's a Cargo airport. Commercial international travel is done via the Castellia Harbour.

But that doesn't exclude the possibility that other planes could use the runway to land coming from other regions. We already know that it is a cargo airport but that doesn't mean that someone couldn't fly in from another region.
You have a good point, Ryu Shoji, that all commercial international travel is done with the harbor in Castllia City, but this could maybe people could be flying in on a private plane, like Champions from the other regions.

VIPs would use the Royal Unova - seriously, that boat is really fancy.

The airport where I live is a business only; no commercial flights from there at all.

Oh, forgive my ignorance, I didn't know of such a ship. I guess that totally destroys my previous idea!

So? If they can fit a whale in a tiny ball, they can definitely fit a person in a box.

More likely, the most the Airport will ever be used for (if anything at all) is some future Nintendo event where you get a shipment of Genesects and/or Bidoofs.

Well, no event is programmed for the airport. It's just there to look pretty.
