Maybe it's since it was originally from an English game? o.o That's really quite something! I would love it if the English version included the Japanese 'dex entries as an option, it would help me with my Japanese. But judging from how your other Pokedex entries didn't have that English option, it probably depends on what language version it's from....
"In a strange way we're all very much like the characters we play. Veronica is very compassionate and determined all at the same time. Rachael is very much both Misty and Jessie. She can be very sweet until she's pushed too far. Eric is Brock. He's exactly Brock. It's scary how much like the characters we are. I don't know if we've become them --or they've become us." - Maddie Blaustein
There is a hiker in a house to the east of the Survival Area. He did mention something about Pokédex entries from around the world. There is a list of Pokémon in that house.
Only one way to test it. Transfer a different Pokémon from an English GBA game over to the DS again. If it works....we celebrate having found a feature obviously not intended to be revealed for months yet.

I have transferred many Pokemon from English GBA games...
Could you suplly the list? There is a hiker in a house to the east of the Survival Area. He did mention something about Pokédex entries from around the world. There is a list of Pokémon in that house
Couldn't you find the list yourself? It's not convenient for me to go there.
It's the fact that I can't read Japanese. XD
But, I'll try to translate to my best ability then.
EDIT: Found the house, and the guy asks to see a Pokemon. I'm gonna go back with Wobbuffet and see if anything happens.
The list has:
Ekans Pikachu Psyduck Ponyta Staryu Magikarp Wobbuffet Heracross
Sneasel Teddiursa Wingull Slakoth Roselia
Out of this list, the only one I have obtained through Pal Park is Wobbuffet. I'll try Heracross later tonight, but anyone who can use Pal Park and has any of these could try it.

A very interesting development to be sure. I'll have to try this with my games sometime.

I'm wondering if the list of Pokemon is different for others, and what exactly the man in the house wants you to show him.
Have you tried showing him wobuffet?
Yeah, and nothing.
A person nicknamed "Waffles" from serebiiforums found that the man wants to trade his Magikarp for a Keikouo. The good news are that his Magikarp is German, even if it has a nickname in Japanese.
I can now confirm that all those pokemon from the list has International Dex Entries (English, French, German, Italian and Spanish).

Why only those Pokémon? It seems pretty lame that there are only a few.
Maybe they'll update the list over time? I mean, it's not as if there are going to be that many different languaged trades right now anyway - not as far as Gamefreak are officially concerned.
Technically, there's no need to have a full list till after the European release - which could be a year away.
