    Default Eggs...

Is it me, or does it take longer for eggs to be made in this game? I don't mean hatching, but the actual breeding portion.

I've been cycling around for about 45 minutes and only got 10 or so eggs. I was a heavy breeder in past games... in that time, I'd get about 35+ eggs at least. Am I just unlucky?

i can somtimes get one evry 30 seconds
I don't calculate stat values, nor do I care about natures. I just catch my Pokemon the way they are, and play the game normally. If you agree copy and paste this into your sig.

It also depends on if you're pokemon like each other or not, which depends on the egg groups and whatnot.

No, i have the same issue as well. I hate it. In order to get eggs consecutively, i need to take out one of the parents and put it back in.

What's up with this new system?

I haven't noticed anything different. It still takes me about the same time to do all the egg things.
Do you mind explaining what you mean by "getting eggs consecutively" and having to "take a parent out"?

Try breeding Pokemon with different ID's. That makes the chance of an egg happening about 50% for ever 256 steps.

Identical species with different IDs is the best way to go.

I think that the OP and those that agree with the OP realize the mechanics behind quicker breeding with different IDs and same species. I know what they're mentioning. I feel that the first two eggs in a set of five are given quickly, but then it can take significantly longer just to get those last three from the Daycare Man. For example, I was breeding Gible and I know that they take quite a while to hatch. In a set of five, my first two Gible hatched before I even received that last egg. This has never happened to me in past games.

I've gone for what felt like forever to produce an egg and then the same couple, without changing a thing or taking them out or putting them back or anything, will give me another egg when I barely had time to move. ._.

I'm really starting to think that GameFreak tried to thwart RNG abuse this generation by rewriting the RNG, but they messed up slightly, and now eggs are being generated erratically, gender ratios are skewed, and half of my Pokémon's attacks are critical hits.
I fear naught but save file corruption.

If you want faster eggs, then yes. If you want egg moves you obviously need different species to make that possible.

I've noticed that too. It's really starting to bug me.

Ditto. Gender, breeding, accuracy, and critical hits all seem very very off.

Yeah, it does seem like the amount of critical hits have increased substantially. It's annoying when your trying to work on your Pokédex because moves that should make for an easy catch end up causing the wild Pokémon to faint.
Of course, I may just be noticing more critical hits since I'm trying to catch all the new Pokémon so that I can have an idea of their usefulness in battle.

I think the opposite actually. I left a Pupitar and Ditto in the daycare, walked to the end of Route 3, and back, and there was an egg!
