I fail to grasp how her sideburns (side locks?) work. There is witchcraft afoot, and it must be purged.

I think instead of a quote, I might just start listing the number of people whose signatures contain quotes by me. My goal is to be in ALL OF THEM.

Generic perhaps, but I certainly like him a hell of a lot more than Brendan and Lucas. Yuck.

On topic, I love the design of the new girl. She's distinctly different from the other girls IMO, and I love that she's not 10 years old haha. She's a bit more tomboyish than the others excluding Leaf, and I dig that as well.

I think the girl's pony tail was designed that way so it would be visible in the game, and just happens to look weird in the artwork.

The thing that makes her seem less girly to me is her expression. She comes off as more confident then most of the other girl characters, this really helped leaf too. The boots, short shorts, and baseball cap help too of course.

Funny story. I was looking closely at one of the pics and I thought one of them had a pokemon following Four-chan... turns out it was her hair.

    But it is visible.

It would've ticked me off when I realized that wasn't a pokemon.

She's the best desgined female player character IMO.

I don't think she's less girly (Lyra and Kris are way less girly). She's just as girly as May and Leaf imo. Also unlike some butthurt people I really like her design and clothing.

Personally, I think her design is less girly than the others, but I still hate it. I dislike her hair with a passion and I think her shorts just look awful.

I love how we can agree so easily.

Seriously, people liked the giant Mario hat that Lyra had, but don't like the ripped short shorts Four-chan has?

People will always complain. Not neccesarily the same people, but someone will always complain.

Once the gen V girl gets a new third version outfit people will complain again, just watch.

Why is she Four-chan? Anyway, those shorts aren't ripped. I think they're cut that way. She probably got her shorts in the same place that Brendan got his hat.

She reminds me of Kris from Crystal, HeartGold and Soul Silver. She was quite tomboyish.

IMO the new girl is a good balance between girly and strong. Her shorts, boots, hair and hat make her look not as girly and cutesy as dawn, more rugged and more tough. But she still has her femininity obviously. I think it's a good look.

I think a lot of people here are mistaking "girliness" with "femininity". True, she's much less "girly" than past playable female trainers, but she is TOTALLY feminine, which is a likable and accurate update. We have a bad habit of polarizing things, and we've tended to equalize the loss of cutesy girlishness with a distinctive loss of femininity in these kinds of things, but there are so many women now who enjoy being strong willed/bodied while retaining their womanhood. I get that vibe from this trainer, as well.

A very slight side note... does the poofy hair and cut-offs (coupled with the information that Isshu is far from the rest of the regions) make anyone other than myself think that she has a fairly distinct American flavor?
