    I do it all the time, except for Black and HeartGold; I put too much time and effort into those files. The rest are just to re-play when I have the urge to start another adventure.

    I deleted my first SoulSilver, which was the first Pokémon game I truly owned (my past games were borrowed). I don't regret restarting, I had a lot to learn. Thank you, Cynthia the Typhlosion, for helping me become better at raising these little pixels I love so much. You are one Pokémon to behold and remember.

    D;
    I hate my brother. He took my DS and reset my perfect Platinum file. I had my Speed Staraptor, Tank Blissy, Power Cranidos, Special Alakazam, my status Dusktox. Then, I had my Infernape, Flare. He was the warrior, the king. He helped me though every tough moment, every impossible challenge, he did it. Whether it be Wakes Floatzel, Volkener's Electivire, or Cynthia's Garchomp, he was the ultimate fighter.
    My team will beat all the gyms 24/7/365

    Shall I get the torches and rakes? Anyway, my Platinum file... Even though I only had a level 28 Prinplup and Level 3s at Eterna Gym...
    Oh, how I miss them!

    I did played Emerald version last 2006, before I sold it last 2011.
    I did caught a shiny Zubat & Hariyama (I was lucky it didn't escape the first time I threw a repeat ball on it, otherwise there will be a chance it will whirlwind me away).
    But since I don't have a friend yet who has a DS, I just restarted the game after getting bored.

    Bye Bye shiny Zubat & Hariyama...

    The only save file I've regret deleting was my Platinum, when I didn't end up trading any of my trained Pokemon or Legendaries over to my Diamond since I thought I wouldn't miss them. Platinum never was the same after that. ;.;

    R.I.P. Infernape, Staraptor, Gengar, Roserade, and Floatzel.

    I dont know if this counts but my Gold and Silver games had a complete Pokedex before the file was erased due to the battery dying, I guess thats something, other than that, I havent erased a file with anything major on it.

    I have many of these, most of which I deeply cherished. The first and foremost was my very first Emerald profile (I've owned like four copies of Emerald and still have two present), on a cartridge I got as compensation for getting my Sonic Advance 2 stolen by a daycare employee way back in 2005 or 2006. It was on that profile that I had my level 62 Sceptile trying to grind my way over the Mossdeep gym leaders, trying countless times. I lost that cartridge some years later, and I don't remember if I beat Juan but I do remember that I hadn't gotten past the Elite Four.

    The second most important profile of mine that's gone was my Gold version. It was the very first game that I beat on my own, and I threw it away in a park and never saw it again. It was the game I regret losing the most, and is what brought my love for the Typhlosion and Noctowl lines. I got a used Crystal to replace it but the battery was dead, exchanging it for a Silver whose battery dies later.

    The third most important deceased profile I miss was on my "Old" Ruby cartridge. I still have the cartridge and my sister has a profile on it, and I now have two copies of Ruby. I had a team that consisted of a level 62 Blaziken, a level 56 Aggron, and many other Pokémon that I favored for looks or strength. It was one of few profiles I put out the motivation to grind my entire team from the mid level 30s to the mid 50s in Victory Road, something I couldn't do before and have trouble doing now. After all of that grinding I still ended up not beating the Elite Four.

    I think that about sums it up. I also had this FireRed with a big collection of rares and a level 83 Charizard with complete access to everything. Unfortunately, some circuit error that happens when you save a save file incorrectly wiped my entire game. I don't think it can save any more after that, either.

    I figured that this was the appropriate place to let out my frustration.
    So I just finished up my freshman year in college (yes, I am this old and still occasionally play Pokemon). I made some good friends, one of which I agreed to challenge in Pokemon Heart Gold in the next semester. I was also thinking about giving Black or White a shot. So when I came back home, I expected to play my Heart Gold, just to quench some nostalgia.

    I ask my brother, "Hey, where is my HeartGold Pokemon cartridge?"
    Brother: "Derrrrr I gave it to a friend"

    My heart dropped. Now understand that this game had 6 years worth of Pokemon on it, including event Pokemon, Shiny Pokemon, Pokemon with Pokerus, Pokemon given to me from friends who no longer played Pokemon, Pokemon from other countries, etc you get the picture. I mean I had my pokemon migrated from when I just started playing from Fire red, emerald, and ruby. All gone. Now I am just like, "how does one simply erase pokemon?" Did the guy not even bother to look through my PC and see what I had? I am so mad lol. But I guess it was for the best, time to finally let go of Pokemon and focus on my future career (I can no longer become a Pokemon Master, lol). I learned that if you have siblings, make sure you take whatever you know is valuable with you (which, I should have anyways). Talk about childhood erased.

    I accidentally restarted Platinum when I finally got Empoleon, Staraptor, and Roserade up to Lv 100... what made it worse was that my entire team from my first run of Emerald was on there, except Swampert, who was thankfully sent to Heartgold an hour before it happened.
    I have claimed: Staraptor (01/12/13), Shiny Stone (02/12/13), and Limber (02/12/13).

    I have commited a terrible crime.

    It was about 8 years ago...

    I was the second best trainer in the family (only behind my cousin, who is way older than me), and every time my siblings or cousins challenged me I won. But, one day, my little brother decided to train the dratini I had given to him as a gift. That dratini became a really though dragonite. My brother was proud of it, and I was eager to battle it because it would probably be fun. On a nice evening, he asked for a battle. He usually didn't even defeat 4 of my pokemon, but this time, he almost won. I was surprised at how hard the battle was, considering that my brother was younger and less into pokemon than I was. But I liked the battle, so I offered to raise his dragonite to level 100, so he traded it to me. Month's passed, and my brother lost interest in pokemon games. Having less battles, I wanted to find something new, so I traded all my pokemon to FireRed and deleted Emerald's save file. I started a new game and continued playing and training pokemon. Then, months later, my brother said "Where's my dragonite" and I replied "Oh, It's on FireRed, I moved all my pokemon over there." So I took FireRed and looked for the dragonite. It wasn't there. It had been deleted along with my Emerald data.

    And then my brother was like "Blahblahblah my dragonite, yaddayadda you owe me another one, you were jealous of it blahblahblah..." So yeah, I ended up giving him another dragonite. Not like he uses it, though. XD
