    Arrow Create-a-Move: Unova Version

    Now that Gen 5 is out everywhere, I thought it would be a good time to do another one of these threads. Feel free to be creative, but try not to be unrealistic. Keep move suggestions to the kind of thing we might actually see in the games. I'll start:

    Power Swing (exclusive to Timburr and Cubone lines)
    Type: Fighting physical
    Power: 90
    Accuracy: 95%
    User swings a club or similar held object with terrific force. Opponents that weigh less than the user are sent flying and removed from battle. If the opponent is a wild Pokemon that weighs less than the user, the battle ends.

    Tongue Slap (exclusive to Lickitung/Lickilicky)
    Type: Normal physical
    Power: 80
    Accuracy: 100%
    Slaps the opponent around with a long, slobbery tongue. 30% chance to flinch and 100% accuracy under most circumstances. If the opponent's Evasion has increased in some way, there is no flinch chance but the attack will never miss. If the user's Accuracy is reduced, this attack will be affected in the normal manner.

    Doubt
    Type: Dark status
    Power: --
    Accuracy: 100%
    Causes the opponent to doubt its abilities, doing 1/10 HP damage per turn. Pokemon with the Defiant ability are immune. Can be healed with Heal Bell, Aromatherapy, Heal Pulse, or the Healer ability.

    Shedding Kick (exclusive to Scraggy and Scrafty)
    Type: Fighting (Physical)
    Power: 70
    Accuracy: 90
    The user kicks the opponent using its shed skin. The user heals its status effect (i.e., Poison). If the attack misses, then the opponent is healed of its status effect.

    Ignores Defeatist's effect, but takes 1/2 of damage done.

    Offtopic, something I'd like to see is every single Pokémon (or Pokémon family) having a signature move, except Ditto and Mew who would share Transform as signature move.

    Hits every Pokemon on both sides of the field in Triple Battles. Makes all items of the Pokemon hit unusable for the rest of the battle. Has 40% chance to Burn.

    Type: Dragon/Physical
    Base Power: 100

    Effect: Runs off the Attack stat but deals Special Damage to get around physical walls like Skarmory.

    Shell Shield: Carracosta signature move
    Type: Water/Status
    PP: 5
    Effect: Cuts it's HP in half to raise both Defense and Special Defense to max for 5 turns. Duration can be extended with Light Clay.

    That Overkill Punch seems, well, overkill. Especially for a beastly physical attacker such as Haxorus. Does it at least have 90 or below accuracy?

    Thorn Rapier - Snivy-line's Signature

    The users creates Energy Swords that can poison and can be wield and tear the foe apart with them.
    Animation: Leaf Blade's Swords Encircle the user like in the Sword's Dance animation, and then, various cuts (like those of Razor Wind, but green) appear on the foe.

    Frozen Beat - Cubchoo-line's Signature
    Physical
    Ice
    Accuracy - 100%
    Power - 120
    Chance - sharply Lowers the User's Def. and Sp.Def stats - 100%
    PP - 5
    the user picks up frozen energy from its body and delivers an icy-barrage of attacks!
    Animation: basically a Ice-Type Close Combat, the punches are Blue and the background is the same as Icy Wind's.

    Stun Trap - Stunfisk's Signature

    Chance - Paralyzing - 90%

    the user gets close to the enemy and releases paralysing bolts upwards. two-turn attack, first turn - ''the user hid itself below the ground!'', second-turn - animation occurs, Stunfisk the returns to normal after it buries itself, even if it is defeated, the move will still occur next turn.
    Animation: User disappears, then quickly reappears(1st turn), like Shadow Sneak's but bright yellow, and then some spark effects(2nd turn).

    Courage Sweep - Rufflet-line's Signature
    Physical
    Flying
    Accuracy - 95%
    Power - 95
    Chance - Freeze - 10%
    PP - 10
    the user soars high up in the sky and covers its body with cold air, it then swoops.
    Animation: like Fly's, but with Cosmic Power's background, and some cold wind blowing, but it goes down in the same turn.

    Bone Glide - Vullaby's Line
    Physical
    Flying
    Accuracy - 100%
    Power - 90
    chance - Defense boost - 40%
    the users glides and continuosly slams its bone-acessories in the enemy.
    Animation - like Aerial aces, but some bones fly out of the center when it hits.

    I like this move, but considering it's Haxorus sigature move, I'd name it Overkill Axe.

    Now for my own move:

    Effect: User remembers a traumatic moment in their past causing their Attack and Special Attack to increase by 3 stages for 3 - 5 turns. Will fail if Happiness is above 200.

    Love Hate
    Type: Normal - Physical
    Base Power: 60

    PP: 25

    Effect: User picks an opponent and gives them a harsh slap against the cheek.

    Special Effects: If the target opponent is the opposite gender of the user, the target becomes CHARMED/confused. If the target opponent is the opposite gender AND in the same Egg Group, the target becomes ATTRACTED. If the target is the same gender, the target's Attack raises by 1 stage while their Defense lowers by 1 stage. If the target is the same gender AND in the same Egg Group, the target's Attack raises by 2 stages while their Defense lowers by 2 stages.

    Combo Effect: If used after Double Slap, Accuracy becomes 100%.

    Compassion (not found on Dark Types)
    Type: Normal - Special

    Effect: High Priority Move. In Double- and Triple-Battles, the user will block any and all attacks aimed at their teammates for the duration of the turn. Effect cancels if opponent's attack targets the user.

    Out of Battle Effect: Removes all STATUS states for a single Pokemon. (I.E. Full Heal for free!)

    Move found naturally on Chancy and Blissy, but can be bred to any Pokemon except Dark Types via Smeargle.

    Effect: User runs up to the target and hugs them! <3

    Effect: User flashes a very evil smile at the target, causing fear to run through them! All of the target's stats drop by 2 stages. 10% chance of causing Paralysis on the target. In Double- and Triple-Battles, this move affects the neighboring Pokemon.

    Effect: This move is dependent on the seasons as well as the environment.

    Path or Building: Target is Poisoned.
    Sand: Target's speed is lowered by 1 stage per use. If used during the summer, accuracy is lowered by 1 stage per use.
    Grass: Target is put to Sleep. If used during the spring, target will sleep twice as long as normal. If used during the summer, target has a 10% chance of becoming Burned upon waking from Sleep. (Sun Burn, that is.) If used during winter, target has a 10% chance of becoming Frozen upon waking from Sleep.
    Puddles or Water: If target is a Grass Type and it is Spring; Summer; or Fall, this move restores half of their maximum HP. Will fail if target for all other types during this season. If used during winter, target's speed is lowered by 1 stage per use, with a 10% chance of becoming Frozen.

    Type: Normal - Varies

    Effect: Porygon's coding has a hiccup and it performs a random move that it once learned but forgot. Move pool is limited to what moves it can learn by leveling up. Forgotten TMs/HMs are not called when this move is used.

    ReBoot (Exclusive Porygon Move)
    Type: Normal - Special
    Base Power: --
    Acc: 100%
    PP: 1

    Effect: A two-turn move. During the first turn, Porygon does not attack. On the second turn, Porygon is healed to full HP and all STATUS conditions are removed.

    Second Effect: If Porygon faints before the move's second turn effect, it is summoned back onto the battle feild at max HP at the start of the next turn.

    Might as well copy from my own blog some new moves, and they are all of the Poison-type.

    Foul Odour (Status)
    Stats: 90% Accuracy
    PP: 25 + (5 * PP Up)
    Effect: Causes both normal Poison and confusion
    Distribution: Pokémon with bad breath, like Koffing and Trubbish
    Description: This is a fun effect, which not only does normal Poison, but also confuses, which discourages the opponent from solving their little problem. This may rack up some damage to the opponent, as long as they attack themselves and lose their turn. However, normal Poison is slower, and it can be recovered off since it will never get worse. Still, a move with two effects can be a good thing because it’s efficient.

    Acid Bath (Status)
    PP: 40 + (8 * PP Up)
    Effect: Basically it’s a Poison-type clone for Foresight and Miracle Eye, except it allows Poison-types to hit Steel-type Pokémon.
    Distribution: Pokémon that can spew acid, like Cradily and Muk
    Description: May not be the most practical move to use, but at least it will not make Poison attacks completely useless.

    Dispel Acid (Physical)
    Stats: 20 Base Power; 100% Accuracy
    PP: 40 + (8 * PP Up)
    Effect: Removes tangible field effects except Toxic Spikes
    Distribution: Pokémon that can spew acid, like Garbodor and Swalot
    Description: This is basically like Rapid Spin, except it is Poison-type, meaning that the Steel-type will be the “Spin” Blocker. The user will basically dissolve the hazards, making them disappear, but only Toxic Spikes will not be affected, because it will make the Poison-type useful especially for the role of removing hazards.

    Heavy Toxic (Status)
    Stats: 90% Accuracy
    PP: 10 + (2 * PP Up)
    Effect: Causes Toxic Poison. Has a -3 Priority, but will start with the counter at 2 instead of 1.
    Distribution: Many Poison-types, like Muk’s family, Swalot’s family and Garbodor’s family
    Description: This is basically a stronger version of Toxic, but its distribution will be limited. The lower priority is for balance purposes. The thing here you will see is that the counter starts at 2, meaning that the Pokémon will lose 1/8 of their HP after that, and after 3 turns, that amounts to 9/16 of full HP, which is more than the amount of damage leaked by normal Poison and Toxic Poison for the same duration (doing only 6/16 of full HP). This would make the Pokémon who possesses it more deadly, since the buildup damage can be devastating. However, the victim who returns to the field will have normal Toxic. This idea is conceptualised after, well, this comment by this person.

    Love Scent (Special)
    Stats: 20 Base Power; 100% Accuracy
    PP: 20 + (4 * PP Up)
    Effect: Inflicts infatuation on any Pokémon with gender
    Distribution: Pokémon that are typically able to learn scent-based moves like Gloom and Roselia.
    Description: Again, the idea is conceptualised after that same post from the same person. Anyway, regardless of gender, the Pokémon with gender is still infatuated, which will be an interesting move and a more useful one at that, since it can work on more Pokémon. Infatuation can be a useful status condition, but it’s not widely used because getting it to work is difficult, since you need to make sure the opponent is of the opposite gender, which is not a 100% guarantee.

    Intense Acid (Special)
    Stats: 50 Base Power; 95% Accuracy
    PP: 10 + (2 * PP Up)
    Effect: Able to hit Steel-types, doubles Base Power against Steel-types. 40% chance of Burn.
    Distribution: Pokémon that can spew acid, like Cradily and Eelektross
    Description: This is an offensive move that discourages Steel-types from blocking Poison-types, as it is not only able to inflict a burn on them (which most of them hate), but will hit them for extra damage. In essence, this is my idea for an anti-Steel Poison-type attack, because Steels will be hit will a strong attack and the Burn chance will definitely come in handy.

    When you consider Earthquake and Judgment (Same BP, PP, and Accuracy), I felt the move seemed reasonable. Besides, it doesn't do too much as it's walled by Blissey alot, as the only purpose of the move is to get around physical walls like Skarmory.

    Description: A natural mist filled with the same substance as that of Potions. Heals half of both your team's and your opponent's team's Pokemon's health.

    Topsy-Turvy
    Type: Normal Status
    Power: N/A
    Accuracy: 95%
    Description: For every time you take damage from anything that does damage every turn (for example, the burned status or the move Curse), your opponent takes twice the damage you recieve. Lasts for 2 to 5 turns.

    Stock Exchange
    Type: Normal Status
    Power: N/A
    Accuracy: 95%
    Description: If your opponent has used the move Stockpile, their amount stocked will be reduced to 0 and yours will become what theirs was before.

    Anti-Curse
    Type: Ghost Special
    Power: N/A
    Accuracy: 85%
    Description: If your Pokemon is a Ghost type, it takes away half of the opponent's health, but puts a Curse on your Pokemon. If the Pokemon is not a Ghost type, it increases the opponent's speed and decreases their Attack and Defense.

    Bad Medicine
    Type: Psychic Status
    Power: N/A
    Accuracy: 80%
    Description: All healing moves cause damage instead of healing. Damage is equal to the amount that normally would have been healed.

    Hypersonic
    Type: Normal Physical
    Power: 60
    Accuracy: 75%
    Description: The user moves at hypersonic speeds, moving so fast that it cannot be seen. It disappears on its first turn of use, then attacks each individual Pokemon on the opposing team each turn. It cannot be hurt while using Hypersonic. (for instance, in a single battle, it would disappear the first turn, then attack on the second turn, then return to normal. In a triple battle, it would disappear on the first turn, attack the left Pokemon on the second, attack the middle Pokemon on the third, and attack the right Pokemon on the fourth turn, then return to normal.)

    Master Swordsman
    Type: Fighting Physical
    Power: 40
    Accuracy: 95%
    Description: The opponent is struck with a ferocious onslaught of slashes from a blade or a similar object. Attacks 2 to 5 times.
