I hope they use this chance to update the Hoenn Gym Leaders to the current art-style.

At the very least, I imagine since Hoenn is the "oldest" region in the time-line currently (since we have Gen II Kanto, apparently taking place around Gen II Johto and Sinnoh), those Gym Leaders will probably change the most. Unless they simply ignore the time-line and just have this Champion League non-canon mostly.

And maybe they'll answer the Agatha/Bertha connection, unless the former is, uh, dead.

I would like to see the Hoenn Elite Four too.
Phoebe and Drake are awesome, but there is no mention of Elite Four members appearing in BW2.

Oh, same. I always want to see previous characters in the newest artstyle.

I also like to see past characters in the latest sprite style, which we seem to be getting. Never thought it'd be because of something like this.

Eh, she could still be alive and kickin'. She's around Oak's age, yeah? And Oak's younger than Rowan, who's 60 in DPPt. Entirely plausible for her to still be alive.

The World Tournament has me really excited, though I'm really hoping that the returning gym leaders, E4, and champions will be given updated teams. For example, I would really like to see Glacia use an ice type outside of the Spheal and Snowrunt lines.

Edit: Hmm, if you zoom in on the page scan with the World Tournament, all of the screenshots show your opponent only having 3 pokemon.

Cheren looks sweet as well! While he is blushing! But Hate he is NORMAL TYPE and Even worse he is an early leader! He should've been Steel or Fighting!

The AR prof seems good and entertaining!

It's likely got something to do with the fact that this format seems like its adapted from Battle Dome. Of course, Battle Dome had you only enter three Pokemon and choose two. Hopefully here, you enter with six Pokemon and choose three.

I am not happy that these rumors turned out to be true Cheren a Normal Specialist and an early gym leader WHY WHY EXACTLY. Why couldn't they get someone else to do it? It doesn't even make sense from a story stand point. I can buy Lance having de leveling his team but changing your entire team for common pokes. Why?

Simple, Cheren no longer cares only about strength, and by being an early Gym Leader he can test the strength and resolve of many younger trainers now. That had to take alot of character growth on his part.
