I...I may very well be in love with Homika. She's perfect. I even made a list why.
1. She is a Poison Type specialist.
2. She plays bass.
3. She has freckles.
4. She is left handed.
5. She has awesome hair.
6. Platform boots.
7. She has an intriguing, original fashion sense.
8. She has blue eyes.
9. Her theme colour (unsurprisingly) is purple. I like purple.
10. SCOLIPEDE BASS!!!
It's like GameFreak designed her specifically for me. I believe the majority of my art will now feature her.
I cannot wait for this game now.
Watch Akuroma actually be named M Harmonia Gropius and was upset that N was chosen over him to "rule" the world and he has a daddy-complex with Ghetsis and wants to show him that he should have picked him to control the dragon...
Clearly nobody has gotten the reference of why she'd be given an Arbok and a Weezing. Personally, I'd give her a Victreebel as well (enough of a hint?).
And yeah, disregarding that, I'd much rather they use less common Pokemon to avoid having too much overlap between characters. It was really annoying that Jasmine, Caitlin, and Lucian all have Bronzong, and the first two sharing Metagross with Steven. Catilin could have made a better reference to Darach with Gallade, I would have given Jasmine a Mawhile for her Hoenn Pokemon. Give her Crobat and you might as well pretend she's a ninja along with Koga and Janine (or an old woman like Agatha). We already have Venomoth being shared. Personally, I want to see how she does with a Qwilfish.
Seriously, I don't want to see gym leader rematches where everyone uses the same Pokemon.

But wouldn't lesser common Pokemon in their teams make Gym Leaders easier? Bronzong is a popular choice for key important Psychic trainers since it's one of the few good dual types for Psychics and makes them tougher.
As you keep telling people in that other thread who wanted a hard mode: Give yourself a self-imposed challenge then. Use weaker Pokémon, or battle competitively through Wi-fi if you want a challenge, just as you tell people to run mono-types or Nuzlocke if they want a harder story mode. Sorry, but that was a double-edged sword you were playing with.
I'd rather not have the game's trainers using a variation of the same six Pokémon.
There's a difference between superficially using stronger Pokemon, and better AI that would allow them to handle themselves better. There would be no additional challenge to me whether or not someone like Jasmine used Bronzong or Mawhile because they're very predictable--something you seem to never understand. Similarly, a Muk and a Crobat go down just as easily as an Arbok with that type of AI. A hard mode allows for us to battle leaders with variety while still posing a challenge.
Sorry there, but all of your suggestions either restrict the player or restrict the NPC's, and what's consistent with what I've said is that I prefer variety--the variety for a player to choose whichever Pokemon they want, and the variety in Pokemon a gym leader uses. If it were up to you, everyone would be using monotype teams and all gym leaders of the same type would have four out of six Pokemon in common in their rematches to simulate false difficulty.
There is no contradiction with what I've said, you're just saying there is, but as I've clearly illustrated above, my suggestion for a harder story-mode can co-exist with the use of less common Pokemon.
Maybe he's actually "A" Harmonia Gropius, if the "N's siblings were A-M" theory is true, and he's out for revenge on his father for choosing a late letter like "N" over the "first" letter "A". Thus Akuroma becomes not a villain, but not a hero either.
Signature is a WIP for the moment.
For now, I have claimed: Mewtwo, Member's Card, Wide Lens, Honey Gather, and Psystrike.
