@Silktree;
So I saw in your conversation with @bluesun Cheren's opinion of the Shadow Triad:
Quote:
Cheren: "Dark Trinity... those superhuman guys with the power to seal people's movements and kidnap them."
Not only does this make me excited because of my first theory, but I am really intrigued about what this means, and how they do it.
It also makes me really wish we didn't miss this opportunity to take those non-standard battles with movie props outside of Pokewood, and have our Pokemon battle the actual Shadow Triad. Seems like our Pokemon might actually be worse off battling them than their Pawniard.

Re: Character Discussion Thread
Wait, so is the intention here that N grew up in Pinwheel Forest, or is Cheren searching there and N growing up in a forest just a coincidence?
Also, what are the names of the Shadow Triad? I remember seeing the first one with Absol was named "Dark", presumably the leader we see in the trailer as you fight him in Opelucid...do the other two have names?

It's the latter.

Possibly because his real parents left him in the woods with only that possession.
An Orphan's Plot Trinket. Classic. So N was a wild boy who lived in the Pinwheel Forest and Ghetsis took him in. So that's how he understands Pokemon. Just like the Kanghiskhan Kid (wonder if that's where they got the idea). I wish BW hinted this with us, the player, meeting him in the forest.

He was found in a forest, but the exact location isn't specified. So we can't be sure if it was Pinwheel Forest or not.
I'm starting to wonder if Hilbert/Hilda's search for N wasn't completely in vain. I know that their Mom only says that they left Unova to search for N, so it's obvious that she wouldn't know anything beyond that. I think there's still a possibility that Hilbert/Hilda did meet up with N again at some point before he returned to Unova.
So there's a shiny OW Haxorus sprite... I wonder if it's used and if somebody owns it. Also, no sign of OW sprites of the BW protagonists at all, so it really seems they are absolutely nowhere to be found. Really quite a shame.

Re: Character Discussion Thread
It's highly unlikely, but they could be hiding the good stuff (like anything involving Hilbert/Hilda) in DLC.

Re: Character Discussion Thread
You have to sit here wondering why some of the characters' older Overworld Sprites are there, like Cheren's, Concordia, and Anthea, Iris'...
Yes, Iris technically appears in a flashback as well, but those are done in sepia-tone. What's with the non-sepia old sprites? Perhaps they weren't planning to update Cheren and Bianca's image either >_>
And there has to be overworld sprites for them for when you connect in a battle. It's weird they don't have it.
EDIT: All of N's Pokemon evidently appear in the wild, with them doing the shiny animation and a message indicating the Pokemon may not be wild.
It's interesting that the only Pokemon N cares about enough to leave with the sages is his Zorua (and he had a Zoroark as well). Really sentimental there.

Is it confirmed that he left it to them? They could have just found it.
I wonder about the effects of the Memory Link. Especially who that certain someone mentioned is.

That's possible.

Memory Link flashback:
Quote:
White and Black is a flashback of two Plasma Grunts talking in the topmost house of Hodomoe City (not sure what to call it), about what to do, now that N has left. #2 wants to go to another region and join another evil syndicate but #1 calls him an idiot many times over, saying that everything they did was for the sake of Pokemon. They eventually decide to go to N's abandoned castle and start looking after the Pokemon left there to care for them. (it's not stated, but I assume this is what starts Ex-Team Plasma) After they leave, N reveals himself from where the Goddesses were in B2W2, and monologues that he was right there, listening. He wonders how everyone is doing, but decides that he must leave Team Plasma, for both humans and Pokemon, to do a task only he can, to convey the emotions of Pokemon to humans.
Whose flashback is it? Who knows. You enter the house, Zoroark looks at you and roars, and the flashback starts.
Suggests the flashback was Zoroark, but given that every other one of N's Pokemon were returned to the wild, while N's Zorua (which he never used in battle, his Zoroark is also later seen leading you to N in the old Plasma castle) just happens to be with the sage in that house, I'd say N left it there. Sure, they found it, but it seems like N made it so they would.
I wouldn't be surprised about N giving the Zorua line special treatment since it was one of the Pokemon he lived with as a child.
EDIT: The ghost of Marvelous Bridge makes a Cameo
Found this translation via @bluesun (conversation with Silktree)
Quote:
The ghost girl of Wonder Bridge got some backstory in B2W2.
Stranger House is her house, she appears first begging for someone to save her from dark dreams, then when you get the Crescent Moon Feather, she remarks that it's fine to take it, because it arrived too late to save her anyway, so she doesn't need it anymore. She could only wait for someone to notice so she could finally return it to its owner. When you go to where she was in B1W1, you meet Crescelia.
Pretty dark stuff. So I guess this is what happens to people who don't wake up from Darkrai's nightmare? No wonder Darkrai hid itself in New Moon Island. Eldtrich's son is lucky.
EDIT 2:
Someone's really going to have to start posting soon since I'm just editing my post and it makes it seem like nothing's happening
Each was a different type of battle; Single, Triple & Rotation
I hear Iccirus City is post-game, which makes this encounter post-game as well. Too bad Serebii didn't bother to say anything about this other than the fact that we get to battle them

Re: Character Discussion Thread
This one's probably not as interesting as the Shadow Triad or the Marvelous Bridge Ghost updates, but Pokebeach's livestream goes more in-depth for the story:
So here's some more of why Hue's raging:
Quote:
After you defeat him, you head inside the building he is standing in front of. He introduces himself as one of the Seven Sages, Lotte. Your Rival notes that there is something different about this Team Plasma compared to the one he’s been chasing. Lotte explains that there is a Former Team Plasma and a new Team Plasma. Your Rival gets angry because his Purrloin was stolen five years ago, meaning this is the Team Plasma that stole it. He asks where the Purrloin is. The Sage understands that what Team Plasma did in the past was wrong and that saying sorry isn’t going to cut it. Your Rival gets angry again and says he’s just going to get stronger and take down Team Plasma as a whole – he runs out. Lotte says “I know it’s not much, but will you take this as an apology?” He then gives you a Zorua. Its OT is N.
So again, there seems to be a discord in translation, but the Purrloin was stolen 5 years ago, making it 3 years before BW's start. According to Pokebeach, his catchphrase is “I’m getting fired up now.”, but I prefer the earlier translations of "I'm going to rage!"
Also, my comment on the Trainer Class Adult Lady as they translated it to Sexy Lady.
Evidently, your opposite-gender protagonist has the last starter.
EDIT:
So remember when Cheren's looking for TP in Pinwheel Forest? Moderately related update.
Again, lack of context. Perhaps this is evidence for the fan theory that Achroma was the person who developed Genesect? He also gives you a masterball.
Also a washing machine -_-

I'm confused about Purrloin and the Rival. What happened to the Purrloin that belonged to his little sister? It clearly said in Dengeki that the Purrloin was a present to his little sister. Unless this is a different Purrloin that the Rival once had.

I don't see how its a contradiction. What's happening though is that people seem to be mistranslating, but it's likely that the translation was that it was the Purrloin given to his sister.
So what happened was five years prior, Hue gave his sister a Purrloin. Team Plasma stole it. Hue has held a grudge ever since. I also hear that Purrloin was evolved into Liepard, but I haven't seen anything about that nor was anything mentioned about getting it back.
Can you imagine? In BW, you may have actually battled the Purrloin.
