Thread: Black and White Music Discussion

I think the most painful part about the anticipation is wanting to blast that little DS music, I really can't wait! From what I've heard of preview clips the music's been pretty awesome this time, but I'm feeling like Pokemon's getting a little bit of Dragon Quest Fever and they should create a new tune from scratch to use next time. (For something like a battle music or something like it, it seems like this game has a lot of fresh tunes which will keep me happy, but I'm curious to hear something new in things like the rival battles/ evil teams as well because we've been going through a lot of remixes)

Sounds like castlevania, and if those backround organs were more up-front, it would sound it even more.

I'm currently rendering the .wav's (in Winamp), because I have no idea how a 2sf is supposed to work.

I do have all of them, though, and can put the raw data in a zip file.

B/W has such good music, I gotta say. I was bit disappointed with DPPt's tracks, but I love almost all of these!

That music was the Surf music all along? Ok, this is definitely the best surf music of all :D

Dragon Spiral Tower is very nice. I love its mystical tune.

Adeku has a pretty cool theme as well...

He seems a like a pretty cool champion.

Okay, I've got a bunch of background music here to identify. All the files together are like 5 GB because they're uncompressed WAVs >_>

I'll send the first batch here right away, right after I compress them to MP3 or OGG files.

A few of them are blanks, and I don't know how to weed those out except by listening to them. Here are the ones I've identified so far:

03e9: -blank-
03ec: Main theme/Pokemon theme
03ef: Theme heard in those commercials
03f0: Main menu/league music?
03f2: Evolution alert
03f3: Evolution BGM

Misty, if you can identify others, can you just edit this post instead of making a new one?

Also, a lot of the audio files are sound effects and the like, and some of them are quite buggy.

*sniff* they haven't change the Gym or Pokemon Center music's main melody, after 14 years...

Also, I'm actively searching for the Casino music, or whatever might sound like it.

Actually, I don't think there's a Casion music. Simply because they removed it in HGSS. It's sad, isn't it? I may be wrong!

Have to say, I prefer Black City's theme.

I've heard some B/W music, thanks to starly396. And I freakin' love it, especially the theme for N's final battle.

If you listen carefully, you realize that the "True Champion" theme is a remix of the original Champion theme from R/B/G/Y/FR/LG.

Boy, considering how Sinnoh's music received such mixed reviews, the majority of the fans sure seem to like Black and White's music.
