Thread: Black City and White Forest Discussion

With the games out for a few weeks now, I was wondering what you guys thought about the areas now, with the majority of us only recently having a chance to experience them. Do you guys like them? How do you feel they could be improved? Do you visit them daily or consider them useful?

When do you even get to go there?

I think White Forest is pretty useful, but I need more people through Entralink..I wish they just expanded based on how many people you talk to instead of using Entralink.

As I don't have Black, I haven't seen Black City, but from what I hear it's a great EXP farm..but I have Audino to make up for that. :)

Could've been improved by not having people leave all the time, there's nothing worse than finally getting there and discovering there's nobody even in your City. And not knowing anyone else nearby with the Japanese version I was stuck with an empty city for six months until the international one came out.

I got black, but I think I'd like White Forest more. Black City is nice with the trainer's, but White Forest gives white a lot of exclusives. And there's always Audinos.

I'm waiting to get to Black City, because (apparently) the longer it takes to get there, the more trainers show up.

I'm confused at the Black City "Boss"

He tells me if I beat the ten trainers outside, I get something.

There's only six trainers

The Entralink also won't work properly for some reason, I seem to never be able to find anyone to go to their world.

Just wait until the next day to battle them again. The counter increases every time you beat them, not just the initial battle.

Your not trying to find someone with wifi are you? It's a wireless feature, you have to be near someone who is in a city in northern Unova and has their C-Gear on.

That's what I was trying to do, though for some reason it worked for me when my friend wasn't in northern Unova one time.

So it has to be Northern Unova then?

I still don't understand them...

I have 10 trainers in Black City, and I beat them every day for 10,000, and that's about all I do there. Their shop is weird... a Poké Ball for 10,000?!

Like I stated here, your friend has to be within the ring of Unova. They cannot be north of Opelucid or south of Nimbasa (IIRC, they also can't be inside a building or cave, but don't quote me on that one).

Is this Black City/White Forest thing region locked, i was wondering about if you can use a japanese game and an English game to connect with Black City/White Forest. I asked in the Black and White Help thread and got no answer

The specifics of the mechanics would be nice, honestly. Is it in-game hours or real-life days, and what is the real cut-off.

Yep, you can. Just did it today between my US Black and JP White.
