The funniest part was the declaration of Naruto as the "greatest anime ever!!1!!" in the same part where something gay is being discussed (albeit intentionally). I lol'd so hard, not that it's too rare a finding these days.Quote:

It's only inferior as the fandumb isn't used to it. The site was also a parody of the anime section, the VA flamewars, and the "BRING BACK MISTY" kids (like this (and yes, this video is real)). In short, it was a parody of the dumbest of the fandumb.

I have friends who complain about them, but then they realize that they're talking to me, so they stop... I dunno, if you don't like it, just shut up and move on.

I actually love a lot of the pokemon they have introduced through the years and ive played since gen one i just love to see the style and such evolving but i will admit i will always have a softer spot in my heart for the cute and fluffy ones (i wont always dislike the mechano ones (i actually think magnemite is really cute) they will grow on me as all the others have)
some of the 151 were just clones of themselves anyway, like rhydon,kanghaskan,nidoking,nidoqueen. :/ but those are all NOTHING alike. And Virizion and Arceus are the ones that look exactly the same...wutQuote:

Hehe, it's always both hilarious and frustrating to see the fandumb complain over EVERY LITTLE THING. One day, I'm laughing at how silly they sound, and next I want to punch them out the window. D8; Thankfully, we rarely (if at all) see such silliness here on Bulbagarden. At least I haven't. D:
The "new Pokemon are unoriginal" argument has to be the silliest, though. If anything, the newer Pokemon have become FAR more detailed, creative, and original. IMHO, of course.
GameFreak has never limited itself to just animals. Remember Magnemite and Magneton? Koffing and Weezing? Ditto? Machop, Machoke, and Machamp? Grimer and Muk? Jynx and Mr. Mime? Voltorb and Electrode? Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan?Quote:

When people say only R/B/Y and G/S/C are the best games in the series. THAT is FAIL right there. Kanto and Johto didn't become great until their remakes arrived as FR/LG and HG/SS. Why do each of the originals fail so badly?
The 1st Gen was flawed greater than any other Pokemon game. Glitches were beyond belief and the base stats for Pokemon were unbalanced. Most Pokemon had relatively low Special, with only a few exceptions. In comparison, almost every Psychic type had very high Special, and they had very high Speed as well. Being Psychic type meant you had minimal weaknesses in this gen, as Ghost type moves had no effect and Bug type moves were very low in base power.
Because Psychic was so dominant in the 1st Gen, Fighting and Poison types had no use because they had very low Special (The sole exception is Gengar, the ONLY Psychic weak Pokemon that's OU in R/B). Even Machamp, who was the one of the strongest Fighting types ever, was very low in usage because he was weak to Psychic.
Almost every Psychic type in the game was OU or BL, with the ONLY Ubers being Psychic type as well. Speaking of that, THE most broken Pokemon EVER happens to be Mewtwo. It's stats were perfectly placed to dominate the entire game. Absolutely nothing could take it down at all. When caught, it knew Swift, Barrier, Recover, and Psychic. Swift is for dealing with Chansey and any other Psychic type as it's attack was so high. Psychic was for hitting anything that doesn't resist Psychic and OHKOing them. It's Speed was the 2nd highest in the game, which meant a very high critical hit rate as well. Barrier patches it's only flaw by doubling it's Defense and using Recover to heal half of it's HP with ease.
Overall, Mewtwo and the Psychic type in general caused the entire game to be very unbalanced. The end.
Oh and then there's the 2nd Gen as well.
The 2nd Gen fixed mostly everything that the 1st Gen did wrong. The Special Stat was split in two to form Special Attack and Special Defense, and Shiny Pokemon were introduced as well. The problem? The entire system was limited by it's direct compatibility with the 1st gen games. Gender and Shiny Pokemon were determined by IVs for instance, and the time of day feature caused increased battery drain from the cartridge, which ultimately prevents long term play.
Also, most of the Pokemon you saw were from Kanto, not from Johto. Johto got almost no spotlight, even in it's own games. Tyranitar was NEVER used by the Elite Four or Champion in these games, and Karen uses Gengar as if Tyranitar didn't exist and there weren't enough Dark types. And what's with the Vileplume anyways? That could easily be replaced with Pupitar as well.
Not only that, Kanto was very thin in terms of plot in these games, as there was almost no interuptions between almost every Gym in Kanto. Both Red and Lance are disappointing since almost their entire team consists of Kanto Pokemon only, forever making Johto feel nonexistant.
Overall, the 1st and 2nd Gens were imperfect for a Pokemon game. Funny thing is, despite what most people say, the REAL golden age was with the 3rd Gen. THAT is where perfection REALLY began. The 4th and 5th Gen hjust kept continuing the legacy of the 3rd Gen by being based on it's system, so I havde no problem with anything Ruby and Sapphjire and onwards. I can never really play the 1st and 2nd Gen games for the reasons I mentioned above.
