I don't know what the thread-maker's thinking. Mikan having a contradicting (or not, as others have pointed out "shyness=defensive") personality was something that made her pretty awesome. I've even heard some refer to her as Pokemon's closest example of a yandere. XD
Yup, classes again. I'm gonna be at this for a while.
I don't see your problem,tbh.
Jasmine is a wonderful character, the "contradiction" is what makes her stand out.
Btw,I always thought Bugsy was a girl.HONEST!

since we have bugsy who at first glance looks like a girl should they make a gym leader whos a woman who at first glance looks like a guy?
jokes aside i like when they have a unique personality for the leaders. make them both similar and contradictory to their type. for example is Brawly, he likes to train, hence Fighting type but loves surfing so hes a leader who fits his type but at the same time doesn't if you don't know the details.
saying she's not steroitypical is a bad thing is stereotypical.
If you liked that, you'll love my sig!
type's shouldn't be associated with personalties, wouldn't team rocket all have dark type instead of poison for the most part?
I think that there should be some smart gym leaders, like blue's trick room sweepers, and some gym leaders more about brute force, like, um, lance.
Types should not matter as much as style to me, but idk, I'm just ranting.....
edit: oh crap, my sig doesn't show up
go to my profile if you want to see the joke...

How could someone mistake a girl named Anabel holding the title Salon Maiden for a guy? But I'm one of the few that guessed Bugsy's gender right on the first try so maybe I'm just good at this. xD
