Nope. i'll force them to stay with me.
Muhahahahahahahahaha!!
This. A hundred thousand times this.
Granted, if the Pokemon that wanted to be released never really had a bond with me, it be a lot easier to let the little guy go but if it were someone I outright loved wholeheartedly....
Okay sure, I'd take a Golett back to the Dragonspiral Tower. Yeah, I'd let it out of its ball and tell it that it's free to go. But then I'd also burst into tears and beg for another chance to make things better between us because well, the little fella may not have bonded with me, but I'd love it with all my heart. Maybe if luck was on my side, it'd rethink everything and come back home with me. (Yes, I'm a jerk like that; I have a bit of trouble letting go.)
I'd probably release it, but consequently sob afterwards xD If it was my starter, there would be no way that mon is leaving though.
If you truly love someone, you will have to have the courage to let them go.
This applies to all, even Pokemon. So yeah, if my pokemon will really be happy if I would release them, I'd be more than happy to do so :)
If they would be happier going, I'd let them go, because I would always want my Pokémon to be happy.
I would be very upset, though.
