Do we really need to do this to our kids? There are already enough kids out there with embarrassing names; let's not add to the problem.

Yes, I would name my children Trubbish and Mr.Mime if I have boys. If I have girls then Jigglypuff and Roserade (Roselia actually sounds like a real name so I can't choose that!). Lickilicky would be another choice. I also thought about Cleffa; it's cute, but sounds like some sort of STI, so that's a no-no. (Mum, I went to the doctors and they said I have Cleffa! D:)

    ...

No, in all seriousness, I would never name a child after a pokemon.

That would be a great embarrassment to the kids. Nobody wants to pass down their gaming nerdiness to their children. No, I won't name my kids after Pokemons. I'll name them after Greek gods, yeah, that would be cooler.

...what? There are games about Greek gods, too? F-

I think doing that would be kind of weird D: none of the names sound natural enough for me to imagine a child named like that.

Never. The children would die from embarrassment and be teased to end. I could never do that to my kids.

Never, imagine how many kids would make fun of them. Also they would never be taken serious in real-life when they get to be adults.

"So Mr. Turtwig, why do you think you would make a perfect candidate for this job position?" No, just no.

It's funny to think about though.

I would never shame my kids with a name like that. It is just ridiculous to even imagine it because their silly name would always be a burden to them since nobody would take them seriously.

There are people who name their children after positive qualities, something great, after an important person or even something simple. Naming someone after a Pokemon is actually a gamble. If the kid grew up and will still be a Pokemon fan, the kid will appreciate the name, but if not, you lost the gamble.

Not every Pokemon are appreciated by everyone, so it is generally a bad idea to name someone after a Pokemon because you know how some fans hated certain Pokemon names? It hurts their reputation.

What I am saying is that it's a better idea to name someone after something more significant than a Pokemon.

Naming someone after a Pokemon is like the translator/namer naming your Pokemon for you, though.

    Thanks for reading.

Actually my parents wanted to name me after a book/comic/cartoon characther, so ehh... Well, they didn't succeeded, but nowadays it's already a quite acknowledged name here where I live, even it's pretty much linked with that a particular characther.

I couldn't name my kid after a Pokémon. Then I couldn't use that Pokémon anymore in games! It would just feel so wrong, if my kid had the same name : D.

Well, Roselia sounds like a real name, as Blitzle pointed out. oAo Having a kid named Audino would be amusing.

"Is that your kid over there? How cute! What's his name?"
    "Audino."
"What? You're the mother, shouldn't you know??"

Signature is a WIP for the moment.
For now, I have claimed: Mewtwo, Member's Card, Wide Lens, Honey Gather, and Psystrike.
