Thread: Why does everyone love Buizel so much??

There's better Pokémon than Buizel and Floatzel, but I want to say it's because of Marriland (his skin in Minecraft is a Buizel) and the animé.

I don't think it's adorable. And I use pokemon based on adorableness.

Well I like it because of the anime and of how adorable it is.

Yeah, that too. I mean, I know it's black and it looks very cool, but I don't think it's something worth to obsess over.

I don't think his fanbase is that much bigger.

It's probably because of the anime. The pokémon on Ash's team might have slightly bigger fanbases because, well, screentime.

Never cared for Buizel. Never noticed a overly huge fanbase for it either.

As usual though, I'm most likely living under a rock. So my only guess is that it's another one of these "It was featured in the Anime and is mildly cute, it's so awesome!!!1hurrgadurrga"-Pokémon. You all know what I mean.

Reila was actually talking about the usual Charizard and why is it that people like him so much.


- IMO, Buizel has a good design, but I would have preffered if it had less bright colors.

I'm happy someone made this topic, Buizel (and it's evolution Floatzel) is my absolute favorite Pokemon of all, I mean, it's cute and appealing. Ash's Buizel from the anime was a really likeable and memorable character in my opinion. Buizel is also a vast departure from most water types in the fact that it's based on a mammal and isn't prominently blue in color like most water Pokemon are. The thing is, Buizel is different from the other water types, it isn't some fish, reptile, or amphibian, it's a rare exception to other water Pokemon, it's like a snowflake, and there's the fact that it's one of the few mammal based water Pokemon, alongside Vaporeon and the Oshawott family.

Still, there's one problem I have with Buizel's popularity, and that is the fact that it's evolution, Floatzel is almost completely ignored in comparison. I mean really, what's wrong with Floatzel? It's a good Pokemon, but why isn't it as popular as Buizel is?

I bet some people like Buizel because of his similarities to Tails (Sonic the Hedgehog's sidekick) and his Grovyle-like characterization in the anime.

I'm honestly not sure why I like Buizel..

I think the appeal of Buizel is that its not a fish or something, it's an aquatic weazel. It also has a fairly cute design in my opinion, and Im sure the anime had something to do with it's popularity as well. It just seems to be a fairly unique,likable Pokemon.

love buizel i hate that pokemon with its lackluster stats and bland design i would have preferred if ash had a golduck or gastrodon in the dp arc instead

I'd assume it's so popular because it was heavily featured in the anime and wasn't annoying or useless, in fact it was arguably one of Ash's best battlers, so yeah haha.

I did like Buizel in the anime, but I'm not such a fan of it in the games.
