Thread: What would your first Pokemon be?

My very first Pokemon would be my actual first Pokemon, Charmander. Sure, the Rock weakness would hurt like hell after its evolution, but by that point, I'd have a solid Grass-type or Steel-type to take care of it. Treecko and Totodile are also great choices.

Counting Pokemon that aren't traditionally starters, I'd say Sandile because it is just so unbelievably badass. Petitlil, Trapinch and Elektrike are also Pokemon that I'd love to start off my journey with.

At the end of the day, though, I'd most likely end up picking up some random Poochyena near the first route and running off while yelling "I'M GOING TO BE A POKEMASTER!" before getting promptly killed for my stupidity.

Although Vulpix would normally be my answer, I actually think an Absol would be a great starter Pokemon (in a "Pokemon is real life" type of world.)

Probably a Heracross, to nobody's surprise. I just love the Pokemon in its entirety, from its typing to its looks to its personality!

Munchlax, it could be like Ash's Pikachu XD

Vanillite. Or as a second choice, Dratini.

I'd be happy with any Dragon-type, but if I really had to choose among the (unevolved) Dragon-types, I'd say Axew. That thing is just pure adorable.

Cranidos, Buneary, or Ralts (for Gallade)

I think I'd either choose a Scyther, Yanma or Gible. Scyther is one of my absolute favorites, and Gible and Yanma evolves into two other of my top favorites. However, when I think about it, think I would get Gible. Beginning with a Pokemon that evolves into something very powerful would be awesome, and I could always get the other two along the way.

For me, it's between Lillipup and Dratini.

I think I'd go for Lillipup. Dogs are the embodiment of loyalty, and Stoutland is probably my favourite Pokemon of all time.

I've learned to use him pretty effectively, his Pokedex descriptions are epic and heartwarming and above all else, he's a dog.

Canines FTW

Vulpix!! It would be my first Pokemon and I would never evolve it, like Ash's Pikachu.

I'll do one from each region as a candidate.
Eevee, because, well, all the things it can evolve into.
Heracross, because it's a strong and worthy competitor in most battles.
Torkoal, because it has a lot of potential.
Starly, because Staraptor is my favorite Pokemon ever, and I could fly around.
Oshawott, so I can ride through rivers and lakes without getting wet.
Chespin, because it is incredibly adorable and would likely be useful in navigating through the woods.
I can't decide which of these six I'd pick.

Porygon. IMMA HACK DESE COMPOOTERS! And hes rare.

A teenage Lugia. Why not? It can attack and do stuff. I probably would have to "pleasure" it each and every day. If you get what I mean.

If not a Legendary, then it'll be... erm... an Axew, since it has a lot of potential.

Obviously a lugia! She'd be comfortable to sleep on <3, and ingame she's a beast, both literally and figuratively.

If I were to choose a "reasonable" starter in real life, I think it'd be umbreon or dusknoir. They're big, so they can protect you. I
In a videogame though, I'd choose Swampert. The ground/water combo and the moveset really appeals to me.

I would start with Eevee, it's very cute and with friendship growing it would evolve into my favorite Pokemon Umbreon. We'd have such a close bond, and do well together on our journey.
