    Riolu. I would evolve it and it would teach me to see Aura. I would quickly catch a Pidgey or something to that effect (probably Starly) to be "second-in-command" and for travel.

    I would start with Torchic, because Blaziken is my favorite Pokémon, but I would want to evolve it myself.

    I'd have to go with Growlithe! I've actually seen a dog before that looked just like a Growlithe, minus the color differences!
