Thread: What is Pokemon to you?

so i was doing my usual pokemon nerd out and thought of this question:

To me, Pokemon isn't just some show or video game or what not. To me pokemon is the one thing that i want the most in this world. it's the dream of living in that world that keeps me from feeling lonely. Its the thing that makes me totally fearless of death. Pokemon is my childhood. the one thing that will always bring back good memories. to me, pokemon was, and still is, the thing in life i will never, ever forget.
pokemon will stay in my heart forever.

so what about u guys/girls?

To me Pokemon is one of the greatest games to exist, a great manga series and one of the worst animes.

To me, it's a boundless platform for new storyline opportunities.

I write fanfic. Deal ^_^

To me it is a part of my childhood and a rich source for expansion.

And damn good video game!

An excellent video game and a darn good anime! :D

It's been a part of my childhood for many years and I've never grown out of it.

The games are a great source of entertainment.

It's part of my culture, daily life, and when I grow up, my childhood.

Pokémon is a challenge, and something I can pass along to others.

pokemon has great video games and you wish that there really were pokemon pokemon is a dream you want to be true

Entertainment.

Nothing more, nothing less,
though it's unclear how much the entertainment means to me.

It helps me stop thinking about all the people who are mean to me (And I get bullied A LOT), it passes the time, challenges me, has the awesomest games and anime and manga and TCG, and I'm just totally obsessed with it.

They are Pocket Monsters.

LucarioGirl, this really touched me. Pokemon does the same thing for me as well. sometimes im a little scared to tell people i like it, being a girl and all, but when i watch in or play it, every bad thing in the world gets pushed out of my mind. and anyone who bullies you is crazy, i bet they're just too insecure with themselves that the have to make a great person (which i bet u are) feel bad. ignore them, they aren't worth ur time

It's something that somebody else will always be better at than me.
