What do they do to the pokemon owned by someone who are arrested?
What do they do to the pokemon owned by someone who are arrested?
I imagine they set them up for adoption/and or train them to work in their law enforcement.
Or release them
I was thinking that they would try to rehabilitate them and put them into some sort of foster care. IIRC, my local city's policy is, when IRL criminals get arrested and they can't find close relatives or friends to watch over the pet, it's surrendered to an animal shelter.

I imagine they brain-wipe them and release them.

I'm gonna move this to Pokémon World as it isn't Anime-exclusive.
....release them?

The same thing that happens in real prison they stay in a cell all day and play tic tac toe. That what happens in prison right?
I would imagine that some sort of shelter system would be in place and the Pokemon would be surrendered to said shelter, where they would be rehabilitated and placed for adoption. Now, depending on the severity of the crime, I would expect that most professional criminals wouldn't get their Pokemon back, but what about a one-time offender who made a mistake and reformed? It would seem rather cruel to me to separate someone like that from their best friends; maybe there are some mercy clauses? It's a thought.

kind of like the SPCA here (I live in truro BTW) The would Take the pokemon and put them into care until someone would take them or they would be put down (Due to lack of trainers and beacuse they probably cant hold very many pokemon at a time)
Thats what i think anyway.
They put them down just like dangerous dogs in the real world
:(
Now I imagine this video but instead of cute dogs and cats, you've got, like, all the usual bad guy Pokemon like Muk and Golbat.

Current Entry: Bowser's Castle, Hyrule Castle, and Underworld Stages
Probably released or put up for adoption.
If they are a first time low-level offender, they may get their pokémon back.

My opinion is mostly what everyone has already said.
But, I just though of something: How many people have actually been arrested in Pokemon?
I have posted a Pokemon/Zelda crossover. If you are a fan of both series, please check it out and review. :)
It will also be a crossover with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Land before Time

Yeah, I could go with the SPCA idea. Or perhaps they release them. Who knows?
Another question, how well do long-term domesticated (captured) pokemon do in the wild if they are released? You would think that would be easier, but then again, who knows these days? Pokemon as a whole are much more violent and mean in this series than they were in any of the other seasons.
