Also, another thing is that, of course, the number of Pokemon in each game are technological. They'd know full well there were more than 150+ monsters, but the Game Boy only had so much memory so they just put in some of the most common and interesting ones in the Kanto region in. Rinse and repeat for every region.

Seriously. If a game called "Catchimals" was released, where you get to catch animals and put them in really tiny cages, how would people react? Same thing in the Pokémon World, maybe. Considering, of course, that pokémon are the equivalents of animals in the pokémon world.

Just like how we have games that are about certain jobs, I'm almost sure they'd have something similar to a Pokemon Ranger game just like we do
