Thread: What about this for a Pokemon game?

I was thinking...wouldn't a Mario Party-esque Pokemon game be cool?

My idea was that it could feature the Gym Leaders and Elite Four members as player characters. (They might have to make several games due to the size of the cast.) They could play in various minigames, fighting arenas, and other interesting stuff. Or probably some other multiplayer-type ideas. (Of course, knowing who my avatar is of, I'd probably constantly want to play as Morty. )

What other ideas would you have if there was a Pokemon game like this?

Interesting idea, but I'd rather different Pokemon be the player characters. Like those mini-games from Stadium 2.

It would be cool to have a Mario Party-style game, providing it had some strategical elements, like choosing different Pokémon will give you different advantages and disadvantages over different mini-games and different abilities in-game.

I fear at the possibility that competitive players will take the competitive aspect of the main Pokémon franchise and try to shove it into this idea as well, to eliminate as much of the Random Number Gods as possible.
The problem is, this kind of game relies on luck. Though there is strategy involved, luck plays a factor as well.
