Thread: Are there any Pokemon that scare or used to scare you?

Garbodor still creeps me out (DAT cry).

One more thing, Ampharos' sprite in BW creeps me out.



It's all in the eye.

Jynx scares me, and its cry doesnt help.

Mine would be Paras. I have always had something against mushrooms and for Gen I it definitely has more of a "creepy music" call as opposed to the others.

It looks like a tongue to me, but who knows.

To continue the thread, another pokemon that scared me was Giratina. Long story short, the way it leapt up and screamed in your face at Spear Pillar in Platinum almost made me drop my DS in fright, especially since I had it at a high volume.

Duskull scared me the first time I saw it, as did its evolution. Dusknoir, not so much, as I'd seen others like it before. But, one Pokemon that still scares me to this day is Huntail. Not sure why, but every time I see it I want to look away.

well when i was 9, Mewtwo kind of scared me..i remenber from playing pokemon red, i once got the guts to try to catch mewtwo but once i started the battle with him..i quickly turned off the game thinking "he's not worth it!"
pfft i was always sore that it wasn't Mew there..in fact i kept looking for Mew in that cave..because i thought since Mewtwo was there..mew must be there too..i was so wrong haha.

I think the only Pokemon that literally scared me, when I watched it when I was little, was the Gastly in "The Ghost of Maiden's Peak." W. T. F.

And I remember the Sabrina/Pokemon Tower episodes being scary for me, but it was more Sabrina and her creepy powers that did it than any of the Pokemon involved.

As for now, I'm too old to be literally scared by them, but I think Banette is majorly creepy (also, does Pokemon want their younger fans to be hoarders one day? really). Cofagrigus looks creepy, and Yamask's Pokedex entry is majorly fucked up, especially with the implied 9/11 context. I also find the entry on Shedinja to be unsettling considering that its back is exactly what you're looking at if you use it in battle.

Yesterday, my girlfriend made a wtf-ish Kabutops mask out of clay, and she scared the shit out of me with it, and now I can't look at it the same way again.

Most ghost types especially mismagius.

Maybe except the ghost in Lavender Town when I was a kid, I haven´t find scary any of them. (Not counting some fanarts.)

Except Steelix. Its face is just... creepy

Gengar for me. That grin it has is just so......creepy.

Some Pokémon with extremely human-like features scare me a little for some reason. Special mention to Jynx and Machamp. The implications of their typing do not help at all.

When I was little, Gengar. Now, it's Kyurem. It eats PEOPLE. Not to mention it's extraterrestrial, and aliens have always made me cringe. Oddly enough, Pokemon like Clefairy, Beheeyem, and Deoxys have never made me so much as shudder.
