    Default In The Strangest Places...

Please note that this IS Pokemon related, but i happen to have a wordy intro. Please don't report this thread!

So the other week, I was volunteering at a Samaritan's Purse center to help with Operation Christmas Child. If you haven't heard of it, it's a program that collects donated shoeboxes full of gifts and ships them to third world contries for Christmas.

I was delivering fillers, which are extra individual donated toys to put in the boxes if they weren't quite full or if an inapropriate object had to be removed, to the packaging stations in the facility, and among the plush toys I spied a little Grovyle doll sticking out. Oddly, a sign somewhere had said "No violent toys (Pokemon, yugioh, etc.)". Has anyone else seen Pokemon-related things turn up in odd places?

Probably because of all the "oh so dangerous" cartoon violence.

I never understood charities not accepting certain things.

There was a Latios card (can't possibly say which one, but it definitely had Latios on it) in a urinal in one of my old schools. No, I didn't keep it. That would be...gross.
Birdsong - An exploration of the human psyche at a point of being highly unstable, yet stable enough to recognise its insanity. Also officially the second-best piece of dark fiction of this year's Winter awards season and Fic of the Month of March (and technically April) 2013. Interested? You should be. Give it a look.

Also, I play Animal Crossing: New Leaf. If you don't like it, tough, and if you do, let me know. It'll be the closest thing I'll do to socialising this summer!

I sometimes catch a glimpse of tiny pokemon figures attached to random peoples' cellphones. It makes my day.
Stop censoring yourself! That was a great idea! You shouldn't have hit the Backspace button in your mind! Write it down anyway!

I found a holographic Magneton in a book I checked out from the public library, probably as a bookmark.

I guess the most common thing to find in strange places are cards.

I once saw a Pokemon TV show on Cartoon Network once. I was quite surprised because that shouldn't be there!

Okay that was terrible joke. Ha sorry. I get pretty excited whenever I see anything Nintendo related at Good Will. I'm pretty sure I've seen some Pikachu toys there.
    I claimed Squirtle.

I found a Grimer Pokemon card (I think it was for the Fossil series) on some grass a long while ago. The weird thing is, the Grimer's type was Grass!

I didn't find any Pokemon-related objects I could keep, but I did see Ash with Pikachu painted on the walls of a pasta shop, and a Pikachu plushie in a bus. Of course that's because people in my country trust the anime more than the games. Ffffff...
