    - Rayquaza always reminds me of Quetzalcoatl... even the name is somewhat similar although I think this is completely a coincedence.

    - Gengar weighs way to much. No idea why... perhaps this was an error? He is a lot more solid than Gastly and somewhat more solid-looking than Haunter, but I really don't think that would cause his weight to from .2 lbs all the way to 89.3 lbs (especially considering it didn't increase at all when he went from Gastly to Haunter)

    - I encountered a Ghost-form MissingNo. in my Japanese Green Version and his name appeared as "ゴースト" ("Ghost"). I thought that was cool, since he was a ghost and all, but I started wondering why. In Japanese, ゴースト does not refer to the Ghost but instead refers to Haunter (the actual Ghost is named ゆうれい). Additionally, MissingNo.'s name normally appears as "けつばん". So this was probably a glitch and happened by coincedence, but a strange coincedence at that.

    - Here's another, Kadabra's Japanese name is Yungeraa. That's "ユンゲラー"... replace the "ン" with "リ" (because the 2 characters look somewhat similar) and you get "ユリゲラー", Yurigeraa, Uri Gellar (that so-called Psychic guy who bends spoons and stuff). Gellar actually sued Nintendo of America over this and lost. Don't know why he lost but I'm guessing he sued the wrong person... Nintendo of America has nothing to do with his Japanese name, lol

Not a "secret" per se, but Spite in Pokemon Stadium 2 looks an awful lot like Sableye...

Sort of off topic, but in D/P/PT if you look in the pokedex and play starly's cry slowly, it sounds like a part of the super mario theme.

Somewhat offtopic too, but I came across this that will blow your mind.

Looks like a Hitmonchan, right? (well, it should, considering it is Hitmonchan from Red / Green)

    Well, think again.

This is pretty common knowledge but since no ones said it i'll add it anyway
Articuno = Arctic (A cold icy place) and Uno (Spanish for one)
Zapdos = Zap (What electricity does) and Dos (Spanish for two)
Moltres = Molten (Like a liquid fire) and Tres (Spanish for three)

Hardly any of those things fit. It almost seems like you just paired Pokemon with random things, because most of those don't make any sense. Especially the memes.

I think Octillery looks like an Octorok. Someone brought it up on the Bulbapedia talk page, but there was no response and it isn't in the "Origin" section.

Vullaby is obviously wearing a diaper. but if you flip that diaper upside-down...
    HUMAN SKULL!

Also, Deino,Zweilous, and Hydreigon were originally going to be cyborg-dragon-German tanks, but this was scrapped. however, markings that look like pink tank tire treads can be seen on Zweilous and Hydreigon. And I know this was mentioned earlier with the names of Deino Zweilous and Hydregon having German numbers of 1,2 and 3 in it,but this is because it was going to be based off of GERMAN tanks.

Thats all I can think of at the moment.

Slightly offtopic, but this does involve Pokémon names.

First, I am almost certain that the name "Togetic" was an error in Romanizing the Japanese name. In standard romaji, "chi" is used instead of "ti", so it's "togechikku" (not "togetikku") and that sounds a lot more like "Togechick" than "Togetic". Not only that, since it's egg-based then I think "chick" (as in, a baby bird) makes a lot more sense. Actually, according to Bulbapedia, the official trademarked Romanization is "Togechick" so I have no idea why it was ever changed to the less accurate version in the first place.

Second, Alakazam's Japanese name is "fuudin", and the official Romanization (based on English pronunciation) is "Foodin". This trademarked spelling is obviously an error. Japanese only has a single sound for the "fu" and the "hu" sounds, which in romaji is typically written as "fu". However, the name itself is a play on Harry Houdini (or according to Bulbapedia, it might be a play on Jean Eugène Robert-Houdin). Since the official Romanization follows English pronunciation rather than the actual romaji, it really should be "Hoodin" or "Houdin" instead.

One last one... Arceus. From what I've heard, there are 3 different ways to pronounce it (all of which are correct, considering that they have been used in official sources). Thing is, it's obviously pronounced "Ar-say-us" if you look at how it's written in katakana. Either way, I prefer to say "Ar-kee-us". Still, I don't see why it ever had any ambiguity to begin with.

Rhydon was the first Pokemon entered into the game coding which is evident by its index number. This may be why many Pokemon statues in the early games look like Rhydon since it looks generic enough for a monster statue and it may be special to the creators.

Yeah, not only was it the first in the coding, but I'm pretty sure it was confirmed in an interview to have been the first Pokémon ever designed (back when the game was Capumon).

I just remembered another thing !

Regirock, Regice, and Registeel represent the 3 ages. The stone age, Ice age, and Iron age respectively, and i think Regigigas is continental drift or something like that.
