Team Battle Maison
Claimed: Golett ~ Iron Fist ~ Shadow Punch ~ Big Pearl ~ Light Clay.
I continually forget (and this is sad, considering I've been playing the games for years) that Psyduck and Golduck are pure Water-types. Same with Milotic for some reason.
And this isn't so much as mistaking... but I sometimes forget Ghost-types are Ghost when they have a secondary type. I remember battling a Froslass and sitting there completely perplexed as to why Aura Sphere wasn't super effective... or effective at all. Derp.

Be humble for you are made of earth, be noble for you are made of stars.
I have no clue why, but I used to think that Roselia was part Rock-Type.
I just remembered this. First time I saw Lopunny, I thought it was a Fighting-type. It probably didn't help that the caption underneath the image said something about it learning punching moves.
Thunderbolts and Lightningrods!
My XY trade shop: offering IV breeding leftovers, special Pokeball females and egg move parents!
Tynamo); then they would have 1 weakness to grass and the balancing issue might be restored (since grass isn't too OP offensively anyway)
Made the Torkoal mistake when advising a friend to use fighting-type moves against it – we lost that match :(
*side note: I think Numel/Camerupt are the non-leg counterpart to it and Wailmer/Wailord the non-leg version of Kyogre. Possibly Salamence as the non-leg Rayquaza (same typing, high stats, both learn Fly by level)
Golduck cards required Psychic energy to use some moves. And 'Gold' in Jap means psychic. Totally should be.
I mistook Azurill for water, Torkoal for fire/rock, and the Rotom forms as part ghost too.
I've also mistaken Slowpoke for water instead of water/psychic, Togekiss for flying instead of normal/flying (before the fairy type was introduced), and now Clefairy and Clefable for normal/fairy instead of just fairy.
I used to think Drapion was bug/poison because Aaron used one, but I found out it was poison/dark after I got one myself. But to be fair, I fought a frontier brain that made that same mistake and tried to use psychic on it.
Even to this day, I still sometimes have to remind myself that Gyarados is not part Dragon. It just makes so much sense, damn it.

This is actually the line X + Y = 3.141
Are you telling me Inkay and Malamar are not Water-type Pokémon?
It doesn't matter if you aren't going to reach the goal, as long as you're still happy doing the trajectory.
I thought Gorebyss would be Fairy/Dark.
URPG Floaroma Gym Leader!
I thought Delcatty was retconned to Fairy. When I fought one online, it wasn't weak to my counter-fairy strategy but died to it anyway
