    Charmander = Salamander
    Squirtle = Turtle
    Magikarp = Fish
    Zigzagoon - Racoon
    ...etc.

    Zen- I see Staraptor more of a hawk then a rooster.

    We could go on all day doing this. For most Pokemon all you have to do is take a short glance at it to know what it was based off of. Bulbapedia even has a small section at the bottom of EVERY POKEMON'S PAGE that explains what said Pokemon's origin was.

    Was at one time the largest spriting group on Bulbagarden. Now it lies empty. Currently open to allowing new people to run it.
