Pokeball transpotation machines
How do they work? YOu see a flash on on side a flash on the other and it is there. I have no Idea of what could happen so just say what you think happens.

The Pokemon is converted into a data stream, transmitted, and then reconstructed on the other end-just like trading in real life! ;)

But that would suggest that pokemon in the pokemon world are digital like digimon which they are certanly not.

The games say that pokemon get converted in data.
But I think that they simply get converted into energy.
It is sort of a teleport system.

Why not just swap in the anime...?

It seems like solid objects can be teleported like in "The Fly" teleporting from one pod to the other. The pokeball can be teleported with a pokemon inside it. Well, in the games, an item can be put into the PC.
